View Full Version : T-shirt design
The T-shirt design has come back.
This is what the t-shirts would look like, with the AR-15 changed to clip art ( the T-shirt company tell me that it was needed ).

Lokks fine to me, I voted yes. 2C
If thats the best they can do,time to find another place.

Well use the poll ( that's what I'm going with in the end :P ).
The problem with a flash hider and bayonet lug, is the resolution, not enough to show more than an undefigned blob on the barrel.
That is why they have to use the clip art  and not the adjusted photo.

Even in clip art, it would be possible to get a flash hider on.
I have the feeling the are anti's
I'm sitting Here looking at it, I do believe that I could do better with a sharpie.

I doubt that much is going to show ( at least on the front ), remember that the one on the front pocket is only about 3 1/2 maybe 4 inches long, and to simplify things they are using an enlarged design for the back.
Now if we want a flash hider on the one on the back of the shirt, I'm sure that they can try and put one on, but then we are probably talking about a second clipart design.
I realy don't think that a FH will show up on the front design.
I'll try and contact them tomarow afternoon, and see what they can do about a flash hider and bayonet lug.

I don't like it plus I would like to see a carbine instead of the full length barrel. A carbine says AR so much more. The mag sucks what the hell did Sarah Brady design that with a preban mag? 30 rounder is mandatory.
Just my .02 what ever wins the vote I will go with.

Hmmmmmm, I,m just not diggin' that gun pic. If that is the best they can do, I would just spell out AR-15. FWIW Greg, I think you are doing a great job getting this together and I appreciate the effort. Please do not take negative comments personally. Ryan [headbang] [headbang] [headbang]

Even though that's what I learned on in the Army and will build a classic 20" Ar15-A2 one day, I'd have to say a newer version rifle like the M4 would be better. The 30rd mag would be a plus too.
If that's the best they can do, I'm still gonna buy 3
Like Ryan said, don't take comments personally, you're doing a great job Greg!!!
Sorry, but that's a mutant of an AR.

The Rifle got super cheesy when they converted. I am no image junky but I bet we could convert it to clipart and still keep some of the resolution.
You should ask them what the parameters the image has to be in.
To bad Snacko Wasnt still hanging around here he was good at that kinda stuff.
I like the graphic in Gman's post...

Okay I spent 10 minutes on this one. What do you think? I'm sure those guys at the T-Shirt shop have more talent than this. All we got to do is ask there artist to make some changes, Right? http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y220/Tedwantsthemdead/ClipArtARLogoblackout30rdclip.jpg

Anybody have the skills to enlarge and sharpen these images? I have a basic vinyl cutting machine and could make stickers but need a good crisp image to start with. It also needs to be in bmp format.
Ok, sorry I took so long, but there was some illness on this end.
I had a long talk with customer service at CustomInk.com, and as expected, there were some resolution issues. When the immage downloads to their web sight, it is saved at low resolution, then they just enlarge that to final size, and in doing so alot of detail is lost.
They did have an idea of something that could help, and even make it appear 3D, but, in order for that option, we need a monotone immage of at least 200 PPI ( the higher, the better ) and it has to be of the desired print size.
To get an idea of what is possable, check:

In order to submit for a T-shirt done in Half Tones, I need someone to send me a pic of an AR-15 ( or M16 ) that has a print size of 12 inches long, and it need to be in the highest resolution that I can get it in. It doesn't matter if it is B&W or Color, because I can PhotoShop it, if nessasary, I can't use my AR to start with, because my Dig. camera is busted.
