Thursday, March 31, 2011 4:00 PM [RELEASE AT WILL:

On March 20, 2011 the Colorado Springs Police Department received a report from a citizen that an unknown person(s) broke out a window on her vehicle and stole her purse. This occurred between the hours of 10:30am and 11:30am. The victim?s vehicle was parked at a trailhead in North Cheyenne Canyon at the time. The victim said before she could have her credit cards cancelled, the suspect(s) went to the 8th street Wal-Mart and used one of her credit cards to purchase a brand new desktop computer. Police were able to obtain surveillance video footage of the suspects purchasing the computer. We are asking for your help in identifying these two suspects who had two small children with them. The surveillance photos of the suspects are attached.

so which vehicle is the criminals? The dark colored Dodge Intrepid or the red Ford Taurus?

Also, they bought a computer ... so shouldn't WalMart be able to give the police the serial number of the computer? Do we suspect these people are going to be smart enough not to register it with the manufacturer?

How do you use a stolen credit card without showing photo identification that looks like you - and comparing the signatures?

Oh wait, so few retailers require their checkers to do this - and it's very spotty @ Wal-Mart. Nevermind.

That's because people bitch and complain when they are asked to show their ID. I did use my fiance's card today though.
