I found a Romanian Wasr-10 AK 47 10/63 for $499 + tax.

How does that price look to you guys? High, low, about average...?

I have wanted one of these for a while, but havnt really been looking and pricing so I am not that familiar with price.

The guy says its new, but something in it, or in it was re manufactured or something to that effect

Thanks for any and all info

$425 would be a good deal. No more than $450 out the door.

I have been looking for a new WASR myself. Ran across one for $502 on Post(Carson) but the Mag Well still had machine marks on it and the well was not coated, BIG R usually has them for around $480ish but the are out of them in the Springs right now.
Dont know if the prices are climbing but I bought my first one for under $500.
That was new.

Update, Falcon BIG R has one Century build for $514 out the door.

It does come with 2, 30 round mags as well if that makes any difference on it.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

if you are getting a wasr id get one used unless you find a $425 or below. in my opinion they just aren't worth more than that. and unlike ar15's they don't show use and wear as much so getting one used is usually a good deal. people sell them on here often

Try looking at : classicarms.us , they have Romo wood stocked AKs starting at $410, and Romo under folders for $440.

As much as they can get and as little as you will pay.

It is just me but I would not pay more than $399 for a 7.62X39. I believe that when the WASR (Wild ass shooting rifle) replaced the SAR they were $299. But that was when you could still build one for $175 from a romy kit.

Thanks for the input on this folks and helpin out an(AK) noob.

So I went to the Classicarms.us website(awesome site and prices by the way) and I noticed they had this posted above the WASR AK's(copy and paste)

NOTIFICATION OF PRICE INCREASE
RECENTLY CENTURY ARMS ANNOUNCED AN ACROSS THE BOARD PRICE INCREASE ON ALL OF THEIR WASR-10 SERIES ROMANIAN AK TYPE RIFLES DUE TO INCREASE PRICING TO THEM FROM THE ROMANIAN FACTORY. UNFORTUNATELY THEY WERE FAIRLY SUBSTANTIAL AT AN INCREASE OF $25.00 TO $30.00 PER RIFLE. WE HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THIS FOR A WHILE BUT HAVE BEEN WORKING FROM OLD INVENTORY THAT WE HAD A LOWER COST IN. WE ARE BEGINNING TO GET INTO NEW PRODUCT NOW AND AS SUCH WILL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO IMPLEMENT THESE INCREASES SOON.
HOWEVER, WE DON'T LIKE TO SUPRISE OUR CUSTOMERS, AS SUCH WE ARE ANNOUNCING PRICE INCREASES ON ALL OF THE ROMANIAN WASR-10 SERIES RIFLES BELOW BEGINNING ON MONDAY MARCH 7th. NOBODY LIKES PRICE INCREASES AND WE ARE NO EXCEPTION, BUT WE THOUGHT THE LEAST WE COULD DO WAS GIVE OUR CUSTOMERS A HEADS UP THAT THEY WERE COMING.

They are still cheaper than what I found today, but when ordering online I have to take into consideration shipping charges (and if the online company charges extra for credit card processing) and the my FFL transfer. And I need to take into consideration that it will be a week + until I can have it in hand.

If there is anyone out there that is selling one let me know...[Coffee]

Thanks again guys

Here's a link to an online store owned by a forum member. These are 5.45, but he also carries the 7.62

WASR's are fun I have one, but if you want a good reliable, cheaper rifle $250 to $350 used, check out the SKS I have 3 of them. Great rifles!!! Just a thought?!

Thanks guys!

I checked Specialty sports in COS and searched AK47 it showed no results. Am I missing something here?

Thanks

Classic Arms does not charge a CC fee, and their shipping fee is $25 if I remember correctly.

Just curious as to why you would want a WASR when you can get an AKMS underfolder or the Yugo M70Ab2 underfolder for $479 from Classic arms.

Im just not a fan of the underfolders I like the looks and styling of the fixed stock and the old school wood furniture.

Understandable. Did you see those new Polish model 1960 milled AK's? Those are really nice for the money and don't mind the heavier weight of a milled AK.

Just came to add that the prices increased on Romanians due to strike at the factory and saw it was already posted. Prices on all AK's have gone up for dealers unless old stock happens to be around with a particular distributor. I bought some old stock of the Dragunov stock AK-47, blew thru them and have re-ordered (thankfully got it in on time).
