View Full Version : New shooter from out of state
My brother and I have had a discussion or two about shooting an IDPA match down that way. I have joined the IDPA but haven't been able to classify. IDPA isn't a big thing here in the Husker state. (Maybe that will change now that we FINALLY have legal CCW)
Anyway, I notice you guys require a safety course to shoot there. Besides that what other requirements are there to shoot an IDPA match there?
Thanks!
the FAQ stuff that Tom posted pretty well covers it.
I shot last month with them and am going to again this Saturday. There was nothing more than the safety meeting and putting me in the correct class based on my pistol. There are no chrono watcing, calculator toting trolls running around. Shoot what you brought.......
make sure you have a couple of spare mags and at least 100 rds, was what I was told before the first match. They don't have classifiers very often either. Although it would be fun to know just where I started out at.
Greg
PS
I'll be there with my brother Sat. It's his first time. There are going to be other newbs as far as I was told.
Get there by 7:30 and we can get you all hooked up.
No other requirements that I am aware of. I can make some up if it will help...
