You may not, but growing up I idolized him among others. I mimicked Nolan Ryan's delivery for one. I was damn close to
playing college ball and was at one time made baseball my life.

Sure glad Nolan Ryan is a stand up guy

The real question is...

What's a bigger disgrace, the fact that he cheated and took 'roids, or that $4,200,000 (that's the number I heard today...$4.2 million) of or tax dollars was used for his "trial"?

I say let them all use steroids. who gives a fuck? Let them hit 200 home runs a year and have pitchers throw 140mph fastballs. It's more exciting to watch that way anyways

I'm with you, when I'm paying over $100 per ticket I want to see the best athletes science can provide. If they don't give a crap about life after 60 a let them stick what ever they want in their bodies.

Don't really care. I don't follow professional sports. Overpaid egos behaving badly doesn't do anything for me.

I think with their inflated salaries and egos all of them have to take steroids, hgh and gh. The biggest disgrace is using taxpayer dollars to go after athletes! WTH?

Well. Good to see that you remembered that we do try to keep this as a "Family Friendly" site.

In reference to the OT: Was there really EVER any doubt? I mean, really?!

He went from 140 lbs soaking wet and a size 5 hat to 200plus and a size 8 hat. oh yeah all in the gym. I agree F**k him for hurting the game. I am not a huge baseball fan but I do follow my team. Go Dodgers. And no tears shed for Manny either. Hope they both suffer the affects of the steroids where it hurts the most. As Barrys ex side project said. "It was small" [ROFL1][ROFL1][ROFL1][ROFL1]

I am also very much against them using taxpayer money for the trials. Since he is found guilty, he should cover all tax payer costs out of his own damn money that he earned illegally

Dont get me started on that. He is probably one of the best players ever and will never be inducted into Cooperstown and yet a druggie will probably get there and be recognized over someone betting. [Rant1]

Dam straight they are no longer athletes but entertainers and as such should do what ever they can to make it more ENTERTAINING! Furthermore not a penny should go to trials or congressional hearings on any of that steroid crap.

I agree. Celebrities and "professional" sports people need to start being held accountable for their actions, since they're in the spotlight, they need to act more responsibly. Hit em where it hurts, their wallet. If their fines included court costs and proceeding costs, they would learn from others' actions and start thinking before they do stupid [beep] [beep]. it was great to see a game at coors field during it's inaugural year.

now I ignore baseball.

also saw the last game ever played at old mile high.

but if they strike, I'll start ignoring football too.

vote with your wallet and put the bozos out of business.
