Something about this latest trend in rods where they build everything to look old and "unbuilt" that appeals to me.

and building it on a bug pan just adds that extra little bit of "WTF?"

It's been at a couple of our shows.

Want one? we are finishing up 2 a 37 Chevy PU SBC, and a Monster 40 ford, on IH chassis 4x4. They sell pretty fast as we don't ask an arm and a leg for them.

When you post a message, scroll down to the "Additional Options" box and hit the "Manage Attachments" button.

From there you can attach images to the thread (browse to them and then hit "upload").

looks sweet, Im a huge fan of the old school vw ratrod style rides, I used to have a 60s beater vw semibaja to roll around in when i was in high school, always reliable until you hit a bump and the fuel pump popped out.

if anybody is interested www.hoodride.com hosts alot of sweet dropped/chopped vw's and other combinations thereof

It is kinda cool, but if I'm going to drive something that looks like that I want it to be fast.

I can see that ... I'm thinking it would make an excellent platform for a Subaru STI motor (300hp, 300ft/lb of torque).

Thanks Zund
The 4x is going thru some changes, the 37 is about done and the 28 is as you can see a road warrior.
Powered by a ford turbo charged 4cyl, it hauls.
