That's what livin' in the city is all about. When I lived in DC, gunshots were just part of the day

nice...im sure someone else called the cop and they will find nothing
Should have yelled, "Get a real gun you pussies!" out the window.
I used to live in an apartment that heard gunshots quite often, I agree it's pointless to get mixed in if all you have to say is "I heard gunshots from that direction"
Should've shot back
this!
Should have yelled, "Get a real gun you pussies!" out the window.

Last thursday, same thing here, 7 shots, I waited until the next night to investigate. One neighbor said "I was the first one out here." Good for you.
I found two .25 auto casings in the street just north of my house, directly across from his.
I figure I'll let the PD know next time I see one of them, but I doubt anyone cares.
Just can't believe someone would waste expensive .25 auto ammo.

And all ammunition must be registered.
Unlawful Possession of Ammunition (UA): It is illegal to possess ammunition in the District of Columbia unless the person is: (1) a licensed dealer, (2) a federal or city law enforcement officer acting within scope of duties, or (3) holder of a valid registration certificate of same gauge and caliber as ammunition in possession. It is also illegal to possess, sell or transfer any “large capacity ammunition feeding device.” A person guilty of this charge can be sentenced to a maximum fine of $1000 and/or up to a year imprisonment.
