Well, my brother's wife wanted me to keep an eye out for a reasonably priced stainless .357 with a 6" barrel, so I've been looking at the GP-100. I saw one that was posted on armslist nearly a month ago and I contact the guy to see if it is still available. "If you're interested I'll sell it to you for $400" he says, which seemed reasonable, so I said I'd take it. 15 minutes later I get the following reply:

Thank you for your reply. Here is the situation. I have 3 people bidding on this gun. I don't do bidding wars as it takes to much time but I have to use common sense to. I have a guy willing to give me 435 for the gun. If you want it for that price it's yours. You made the first offer so I will give you first dibs. Up to you. Let me know. I can meet you tomorrow. Let me know. Thanks again for your interest. Hope it works out.

So, let me get this right . . . this gun was still unsold a month after being posted, then suddenly 3 people contact him about it within 15 minutes? I told him he could keep it.

I really hate that shit. Tell him to get bent and send that email to abuse@armslist.com

And let them know about it.

Sounds like a practiced member of Craigslist. I even had a guy change his price in the 10 min it took to get there.[Rant2]
