My First turkey!

Yep got my first one! spent about 6 hours in the field, watched him strut about 100 yards before he got a winchester supreme elite 3 1/2 #4 shot to the noggin' at about 40 yards out. Had the time of my life out there, and am now in love with turkey hunting. he measured out at a beard length of just over 7 inches, and spurs at an inch. Called him in with nothing but a wally world box call. enjoy the pics

Great job CowboyTuff, It looks about like my first one. Weighed probably 19 - 20 lbs. Got a good Cowboy recipe for you when your ready to cook it up. Its called ‎17 Ways To Cook A Turkey!

1. Go shoot a wild turkey
2. Take a drink of whisky
3. Put turkey in the oven
4. Take another 2 drinks of whisky
5. Set the degree at 375 ovens
6. Take 3 more whiskys of drink
...7.Turk the bastey
8. Whisky another bottle of get
9. Ponder the meat thermometer
10. Glass yourself a pour of whisky
Bake the whisky for 4 hours
11. Take the oven out of the turkey
12. Floor the turkey up off of the pick
13. Turk the carvey
14. Get yourself another scottle of botch
15. Tet the sable and pour yourself a glass of turkey
16. Bless the dinner and
17. Pass out! Enjoy Some Wild Turkey everybody!
