Well i had the joy of helping move and pack a bunch of stuff from my mothers side grandparents home this past weekend in Illinois. My father picked me up in NE with a trailer to load up what we needed to take back.

was wondering if anyone has one of these on the board and or knows if you can still find flares for them? and or what they might have been used for? my great grandfather was a Colonel in the army and most of the stuff came from him, but could have just been something that he bought or took with him! i'm guessing using these in Colorado is a no go due to the fact we can even have aerial fireworks with out a permit! Besides the fact for emergency purposes. looking for any information i been looking on the internet, but not finding too much on this!

Lake Erie Chemical Co. Model 1929 Flare Pistol 4inch

Interesting rotating barrel with locking lugs breech. Barrel has the one line "LAKE ERIE, CHEMICAL CLEVELAND OHIO," marked on the top and underside, patent, marking on the chamber. One piece checkered hard rubber grip with "S" imprints.

Just checked mine and its an HK 26.5mm and have frares for it but you might also see if you can find a 12ga adapter. I have one for this so I can shoot 26.5mm or 12ga. [Tooth]
