Hi,
I grew up hunting and shooting. Rifles and shotguns mostly but some pistols as well.
I have shot bolt action .308s, lever action 30-30, and semi auto .22s In college, I took and ROTC marksmanship class and got to fire an M16, but only 3 magazines worth.
Fast forward to today, when I have grown children and more free time as well as a little disposable income. I am starting to shoot some USPSA matches and am looking at participating in 3-Gun as well. Given my "vast" experience with the AR platform, I figured it was time to learn as much as possible.
I bought a complete lower on impulse at a gun show (great research wasn't it). I had done some reading but realize I still have a lot to learn, so I shopped around some and read some more and finally bought a White Oak upper with a Daniel Defense 5.56 forged 16" 1:7 barrel, and Troy TRX rail.
Now I am busy looking for "stuff" to fill up all that rail space. Maybe someday soon I will actually get out and shoot it.
