My sister was actually let go because she had to many complaints from her subordinates that she was "to hard on them". She caught them so many times using the internet for personal use she had it shut off at their terminals. So they complained to her boss and he said there was just to many issues with her team and laid her off.

I was in shock.

I have this sinking feeling that some of the dollars taken from me at gunpoint by the government ended up in the pockets of those idiots at workplacebullying.org :(

I'm guessing speed shops, auto shops, and motorcycle shops are probably off the list for the "sensitive" types as well. One Flaming Eddie* under the bathroom door when they're taking a dump, and it'd be over.

*Flaming Eddie: Can of carb cleaner, a lighter, and a half inch gap under the bathroom door. Use your imagination. [Flame][LOL]

Best one I ever saw, I was helping on a custom house, I got back from lunch,
I kept hearing; "Pfffffffft" Followed by a "Thwack". I look in the room it was coming from.

The two carpenters on the the job had tied the safety on the nail gun back and were shooting it at a "portrait" of the home owner and architect.

I gathered that they had walked through and decided to "change" a few walls.
None of them were going to be simple fixes either.

So, while the carpies were waiting for the official change order, they were occupying their time with a little "target practice".

had a boss once that was a bully.

I was a new addition to his team so he had to scream at me in front of everyone to show his dominance and threatened to have me fired if I complained.

one of the worst people I've ever met in my life.

he was a [insert expletives here], but I didn't cry about it. just controlled my urge to hurt him, did my job and kept my mouth shut.

We use this stuff called NoLox on aluminium wire to prevent oxidation. It is quite possibly the most slimiest, stickiest, most disgusting stuff invented by mankind.

After the nuclear bomb goes off, I'm fairly certain the cockroaches will be eating this stuff.

There is almost no known way of removing it. Easily anyway.

If there is some left over, Figure out the apprentice that deserves it the most and smear it all over his tools.[Tooth]

It's things like this that make me glad I work in an evironment where going to the mat room and beating the ever-loving-bejesus out of each other is an accepted way to solve interpersonal issues.

Field Station Korea, 1985. I had a 19 year-old female walking all over the compound trying to find a fallopian tube to replace a damaged vaccuum tube used to tension tape in a large Honeywell broadband system. She never reported me and we laughed about it (and learned from it). Different era man...

How many of you ex service members that carried a technical MOS remember ID10T [eye-dee-ten-tee] kits? Or..."go get me some flight line" or [insert a thousand examples here]

In our field many have one of those 20"X20"x12" tool boxes with the fold out pockets for tools. One person kept talking my tools so I got all my tools back, opened his box, emptied a full can of expanding foam into it and shut the lid. :)

We also have been known to play many games with electricity like have fights with portable defibrillators, Wiring the metal on a workbench hot, wrapping fine coil wire around the lugs of a plug and playing "Hot Potato" with very large caps. [Coffee]

There are two individuals in the organization, one of whom I had not even spoke to or emailed in over a year, who I was specifically told to be "nice" to during the last annual review.

The fact that they are both arrogant assclowns who are woefully ignorant of basic engineering principles doesn't seem to matter, I'm the bad guy for not tolerating their bs.

One time, I hacked the computer program we used to log our equipment maintenance.
The guy who originally wrote it was a jerkoff, so I made it that whenever he entered his ID it spit out an error telling him he was not an authorized user.

I wasn't there, but the other guys told me he was cussing up a storm.

I remember a lot of good pranks from my days as a machinist and in the oilfields! Good times. Can't get away with that kinda shit now though. I've read several good office-type pranks, the one that sticks out at the moment is unplugging someone's mouse and connecting a wireless one, that you control from your desk while the victim goes nuts.

I've seen the result of a can of Good Stuff going off in someone's toolbox by accident, it was awful! I can't imagine doing that to someone on purpose. But I can imagine many uses for it on some pricks' car. A small hole drilled in the exhaust system, tube from the foam can poked inside the hole, exhaust pipe filled with foam......oh my. The possibilities are endless.

I have a supervisor that is condescending and rude...and that's if I can get him to acknowledge my existence. Do I care? Hell no. The way I see it, the less he talks to me, the less chances I have of getting pissed off an putting myself in trouble.

I think its the men in this country specifically that are getting soft.

I used to work on an ambulance with fire side guys and around a lot of cops. Lots of complaining about crap like this all the time. <mostly men.

Now I am in Nursing school, tons of women, shit like this is almost never talked about, mostly just really crude name calling and no regard for PC behavior. This is related to nurses working who I spend a ton of time with. < My class, 35 women, 2 men.

I have no other evidence to back this up, but this is the internet, so that is irrelevant.
