Jeep doesn't need all that stuff! Just needs a tank full of gas and a cooler full of refreshments! Maybe some jackets and trail maps too.
You finally going to be able to make it through Slaughter House Gulch now?
You finally going to be able to make it through Slaughter House Gulch now?
No reason a stock Rubicon couldn't make it through.
Don't give me a hard time while I'm in the middle of giving someone else a hard time!
You finally going to be able to make it through Slaughter House Gulch now?
That trail claimed two of my ribs on a dirtbike. wouldn't want to hurt a jeep on that trail

I might finally be willing to drive it down a graded forest service dirt road. But the real reason I did it is so its easier to crawl under to change the oil.
.....For those that don't recognize it that is sarcasm.

You mean you didn't do it to drive it like you stole it? Here's photo of me and my TJ in action several years ago... I didn't have to steel it but it sure made my wallet hurt... I made it through this section fine but my buddy laid his over on it's side about 10 mins after I went though...

EXACTLY!!!
I had to sell mine a few years ago to pay for the backyard landscaping on our new house... Then I decided to invest in guns and ammo... I've been dealing with addiction for years, with no end in sight.

And some cool bumpers.
Man I miss my jeep, thinking of selling my bmw to get another wrangler

Just bought an 05 LJ at the end of Feb. My new money pit...
Anyone need a 6cyl header for a jeep?
I WANT MINE BACK!!! Had a YJ (its hip to be Square) and I'm to the point of selling my f150 and getting another.
I WANT MINE BACK!!! Had a YJ (its hip to be Square) and I'm to the point of selling my f150 and getting another.
We recently did a spring over reverse shackle on a YJ added front and rear bumpers came out awesome, gotta find the pics. The guy is sponsered by Makita Power Tools.
I got mine when I just started the fed center and it was running 33's on a 4 cyl. Needless to say I was getting about 150 to the 12ga tank so I traded it and have regreted it since. The YJ just has so much more room, its perfect for a big guy.
I swear someday my CJ5 will be back together, really it will! I never should have torn it apart for restoration, I should have just tinkered with it and got it running reliably. But nooooo, gotta do a full restoration on it.......
See, it really WAS all together once, before it became a garage full of parts....

Man I understand that one completely but get the itch and win powerball! Resto is the only way to go though, atleast you know everything it has and not some list a guy gave you.

I love Jeeps. I drove a buddy's jeep and it was fun. In '06 when we got snow dumped on us, I had my Tacoma 4 cyl with 31's. Had to pull a friend out of a snow bank that I had just driven through. Nothing like making beer runs in 18" + of snow on the streets while everyone else is getting stuck or barely making it home!

I've been a Jeep fan since I got my first in high school years ago. I've had about 15 since then. This is my latest. A much worthwhile money pit, same as the guns.

Awesome truck, did you put aftermarket diff/axles on it? I keep pricing a Rubicon, but they're like 40k nicely loaded... maybe if they did the 3 year 0% again, at the rate the dollar is dropping I could let inflation pay off 10 or 20%

I have been planning on Currie 60s since I got it, unfortunately I have yet to blow a diff or break an axle. There is a lot of talk about how weak the JK axles are, but I'm more of a "finesse" driver, so I haven't destroyed anything yet. I have beat the holy living crap out of it too, from Holy Cross to Prichett Canyon in Moab. The skid plates on the other hand, well lets just say my gas tank no longer hhas the capacity that it originally had.

Last one I had sold it a bit over a year ago. Never had tome to get it out to the mountains

Come wheeling with me, I promise you'll have an excuse to throw new axles under there by the end of the day [Tooth]
Next trail on my list is Boulder Canyon... gonna be a fun time.
Wait, that's a lie. Next on my list is building a new rig. Then I can run Boulder Canyon.

Do yall know a guy on CO4x4, goes by trailblazer? Big black/red Scrambler-length frankenjeep.
I ain't on there just cause I don't like having to pay for memberships to websites of any kind and I know a lot of the guys in real life so there's no point.

I thought I'd never move from Omaha, so I sold my scrambler.
Not 3 months later, we were packing to move here.
Now I just play with guns.

Pay? I don't pay anything there. You can, but it's not required.
Do Jeeps cost a lot to maintain, or just to modify?
I beleive every jeep owner is a mechanic of a sort!
Mods are pricy depending on how its done.

I still see the jeep from time to time around the ranch. its alot cleaner now lol
We need to get a second car soon, and I was thinking about an older Wrangler or Cherokee Sport. Not sure what I want to do yet. Can't afford a Toyota.

I suppose I'm going to have to splurge and put on all 4 new wheels and tires. Think Id tear up an axle leaving the driveway.

I'll play new to me '07 JKU in feb.
first pic is the day we got it, wheel it like ya stole it, 2nd pic is sawsalled the factory fenders and added psc bumper f/r with new warn winch on it's first drive with no tops and doors. kinda weird driving like that the first time!
33's,bumpers f/r,winch, skids, but will be growing a little more via a rockkrawler 2.5 kit and some mud grapplers with 5:13's

4 wheel drives are sports cars. All sports cars are maintenance hogs especially if you run them hard.
