Heard at the show and from an email from Natchez that ammo will be going up possibly 15% on May 1st.

Im sure everything will be going up, maybe not 15% but some small amount, even walmart has been rising prices. Freight cetainly is not getting any cheaper.

I order my bullets (not cartridges) from Wideners. And they posted on their site that everything associated with ammo is going up. So, I ordered some bullets...

Considering the fact that the dollar has been devalued by about 20% over the last year, a 15% increase in the price of anything is a bargain.

I ordered about 2k 9mm and 2k 5.56

Their prices have been creeping up for a while, and in several cases, wal-mart is more expensive than the competition.

was that a complete sentence?

Has nothing to do with ammo prices going up. Gas is rising, Freight shipping costs go up, they pass those high costs to the consumer. Same thing happening with food prices.

Well, shit, I'm glad to hear that the gun show experts and Natchez have better commodities analytics than Goldman, JP, Barclays, and the rest of the bunch.

Nothing rises uniformly, in concert, on the same day. Prices have steadily rising in every sector, the US Dollar (as previously noted) has been tanking hard, and demand is only rising.

I'm not saying that Natchez isn't raising their prices 15%, but rising prices are not a secret, and it's not like everyone is doing +15% ON THAT DATE.

Pulled LME spot prices for the last year in USD/Ton for Copper and Lead: (bear in mind that the dates are euro-style DD-MM-YYYY)

Yepper, weak Dollar = inflation. There is no increase in demand for gold/silver/oil, yet those three are going up steadily due to weak Dollars. Thanks Obama!

There is a huge increase in demand for oil.

Oil demand is down 15% nationwide so it ain't demand. However speculation is way up, driving prices up for PROFIT.

There is a huge increase in demand for oil.

Oil market has been on a steady pace - 5-9% growth each year - This is mostly foreign demand, specifically China. Supply is also steadily increasing as other refineries are able to up their supply to offset other disruptions. The weakness in USD along with other BS drive the prices up. This is why I quit trading oil... too speculative based on rumors and over exaggerated news.

Between forex and oil trading, I probably have lost a couple barrets [Bang][Bang]

PS.. Palmetto armory typically have great prices + low shipping. Aimsurplus is great but they are always out of stock.

I think we are going to see a rise in prices on virtually everything. Reading some financial stuff where food costs could jump 30%, gas 6.00 per G blah, blah, blah...............

In other news water is still wet....................

I saw the spike in lead coming so I called up Sierra. Even with all that in that 350-ish pound pile I still have 13 boxes (6500) of 6.5mm 142 gn bullets on backorder...

18,000 22 caliber 55 gn fmjs in the unlabeled boxes on the left. The white boxes are Sierra 6mm 115gn Matchkings.

A dozen or so cases of various pistol calibers of Montana Gold and Zero in the garage.

Just because you are having a baby, doesn't mean those ammo will reproduce themselves. At least that sentence sounds that way to me [Coffee]

Ammunitiontogo has the same May 1 price increase warning on their front page.

I just ordered 1k 9mm to get me through a few days of training this summer, but I'm gonna need a lot more!

Just curious, did the prices increase anywhere? I checked my normal sources and prices are the same.

The guy I bought the 223 stuff from on Saturday claims a 22% rise coming in May. We'll see, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Prices of base metals are through the roof. I have enough 223, 6.8, 308 and 243 projectiles, brass and primers to last a couple years.
