Does anyone have any experience with these? And thoughts? The reviews said they work well but you have to locktite the front post.....

Also, I am new to the 7.62 X 39. It is my new hog rifle and I can't wait to use it!! I have been using ARs ect..but I grew up with lever actions. I figure this was a good compromise. Plus I wanted to hunt again with steel sights before it forgot how.

no experience but if you're going to use them for dark or dusk situations and probably not taking long shots maybe look into the mil surplus clip on night sights.

could you post a link so we could see them?

Imho- don't waste your money. Much better spent at Tech-SIGHTS which makes an AK rear GI-aperture sight that mounts easily to the reciever with a supplied new rear rec'r top. Gives you about a foot more sight radius. Does wonders for the AK. Great quality and good to go.

Here are the sights:

They look pretty much like the original sights just with the 3 dot system (and tritium).

I like the idea of keeping the look as classic as possible. I can imagine that the GI style sight can make a big improvement to the AK sighting system..but I grew up on Winchester Lever Sights...not that I am not efficient with GI style sights...I just prefer the open top sight.

I might just get a set and see what they can do. As you hog hunters may know..."them hawgs gets real active about sun down."

They look decent to me though for that price I don't know if I'd buy em, I'd probably get a couple tritium vials off ebay mix with super glue and paint dots in little drilled out divots ;)
