Anybody have any experience with this pepper? I've been wanting to find some sauce made with this bad boy but can't find any locally. Do any of you guys know of any place that sells some? I've only been to Bass Pro and that was a bust. Here's a picture of the beast.

Dunno for sure, but there is a BBQ shop in Old Colorado City on the west side of the Springs that might have something...

Look on foodnetwork.com. I saw a show recently that talked about it and a place that deals with really hot stuff. That stuff is HOT

Only place I know to get sauce w/ those is online. I actually ordered some last week.

It's an Indian (red dot) pepper, so asian market would be a bust.. middle eastern one maybe?

Grow your own?

Not a bad idea, but I'm a little lazy these days and limited time. But maybe in the future.

I saw this website, If I can't get the sauce around town I'm going to order the Mad Dog 357 and the Mad Dog BBQ sauce. What kind did you pick up?

I grabbed the Dave's Insanity..

Fell in love the first time I tried it.. back in.. 95?

I didn't listen to the instructions of 'just use a drop'.. it tasted like Burning.

There used to be a 'hot sauce' store in the westy mall.. I'd drive up there to get it..but I haven't been there in forever, I think it closed years ago..

An old buddy from high school owns a hot sauce shop off of Broadway and Hampden

We call it Naga (Dragon breath) or Ghost pepper... They have them in Indian Grocery stores (seasonal I think). Check the one on Parker Rd and Dartmouth or County line and University.

Didn't the Ghost Chile just lose the #1 spot for hottest in the world?

I had no idea you could buy those locally. Habenaros give me the hiccups as it is. Yikes.

I had some seeds for these peppers last year, but the rabbits munched the sprouts before they were even 4" tall and the plants didn't recover.

The Ghost chilis make habaneros look like gummy bears...

I've been trying to grow them from seed I purchased from the NMSU (http://www.chilepepperinstitute.org/) -
no fruit yet... extremely difficult to get the first plant...
I think I'll go with a few plants this year... from CCN (http://www.chileplants.com/search.asp?CategoryID=1&HeatID=6&TypeID=&UseID=&Color=&FleshID=&LengthID=&WidthID=&OrientationID=&FoliageID=&HeightID=&SeasonID=&Location=&SpeciesCode=&StockStatusID=&Keyword=&Search=True&SearchMode=simple&SearchButton=Go).
Let us know if you find fruit locally...

Man, why mess around? Just take some gasoline and rub it directly on your bunghole, you'll get the same effect!

I like HOT food. I tried a tiny bit of some Ghost once. That hurt. My brother makes his chile with scotch bonnets. He has to make 2 pots. ! pot for him with a ton of them in it (stuff peels paint)[Help] and 1 for the rest of us with just a small amount in it.

Habaneros are pretty much my upper limit, and used with extreme restraint. I do like the lightly sweet finish on the habaneros in my chili...

I got this around Christmas in Breckenridge at a little spice shop on the main drag. Needless to say the hot is...ample. I like it in chili and on other foods like eggs and such. Just opened this bottle...the 2nd one. It don't take much to spice stuff up.
