as i recall her grandkids weren't buckled

i have seen other civilians go to jail for causing an accident and killing kids who were not buckled, she'd better not skate on this one.

I recall that too.

She should go directly to jail, she'll get away because she is an elite member of society.

I read the article but I guess I am a little out of the loop. What area of Colorado does this person represent? And I didn't get from the article what caused her to drift or suspected to drift in the other lane causing the accident?

I wonder, do we pay for her legal defense as a public official?

We shouldn't. She was acting as a private citizen while she was in Texas. If she had been there on "official business", then it is possible. However, I believe she was on vacation at the time.

I remember something Like she moved stuff around or tampered with the scene, but she will get a slap on the wrest and be done with it. I hate the way they deal with stuff like this Reminds my of Ted Kenndy

Hopefully not, if enough people aren't quiet about it!

Can't blame her for this. The article states that here SUV veered across the traffic, obviously in opposition to her wishes. SUVs are E-V-I-L machines that should be blamed for all accidents in which they are involved.

OK, sarcasm aside, they should toss the book at her. But I have a question: What the hell is an SIV? Apparently, that's what the victims were riding in.

Williams, IIRC, represents (or did, at least) parts of Arapahoe County. Aurora, Centennial, etc. Probably more than that, I don't know. She did come out to Elizabeth a few years ago to speak to a group of us who were fighting an abortion called the Front Range Toll Road. Also, if memory serves, she switched parties to stay with the majority when the Dims took control a few years back. If I'm wrong on that, somebody please correct me.

i guarantee if i had done what she did, or anybody else that isnt a "public official", i would be in jail pending trial. and then at trial, punishment would be severe. they should hammer her, if she interfered with the investigation or tried to destroy evidence, she should be charged with that too.

After a nearly five-month investigation, a Hartley County, Texas, grand jury decided Wednesday not to indict Colorado state Sen. Suzanne Williams in connection with a fatal accident in December.

No charges so far.

The grand jury's decision means Williams will not face serious charges in the crash, but Texas Trooper Gabriel Medrano said Williams might have to answer a traffic citation.
"It's a possibility she will be ticketed," Medrano said. "If citations are warranted, they can file through the justice of the peace. It's up to the lead investigator."
Medrano said the grand jury's decision does not mean investigators changed their mind about who they believe was responsible for the fatal accident.

Total POS Dem elitist politician trying to force us commoners to do what she will not do herself. Hope she feels good when she looks in the mirror in the morning. I'll bet that when she returns to the Senate, she gets a standing O from the other Dems.

Here's the original thread (http://co-ar15.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32275)on the event if you all want to refresh you memories of the details of this accident and the attitude of this member of CO royalty, er..politician.

As I recall, the woman she killed is the neice or something of another CO state senator.

I also seem to recall she had an attitude @ the scene in addition to the tampering with evidence.

Lock her up & throw away the key.

Hope she feels good when she looks in the mirror in the morning.

I seriously doubt she has enough of a conscience to let it bother her beyond the inconvenience and costs she is experiencing.

You're probably right. Dems are so empathetic.
