Thanks. Beautiful rifle by the way. [Awesom]
Here's a cop-out answer-
My favorite is the one I have in my hand. It all depends on the mode I'm in.
For plinking I generally go with something in 22rf. For blasting it's usually .308 or 7.62x39 caliber or occasionally 9mm. A lot of times I just want to shoot something "weird" or not common.
It's nice to have the choices that 30 years of lotsa overtime and modest living have got me.
Thanks. Beautiful rifle by the way. [Awesom]
Thanks! A few more "thangs" to go and she's done. Damn I dig the black rifle!
Sig Sauer 522.

This one is my favorite... it handles well and shoots pretty straight in it's clean or dirty (literally dropping it in dirt) condition... must've put over a thousand rounds through it already, and I'm still loving it [Flower]...

My very first rifle. It was a gift from Dad. I will never get rid of it. Receiver made in 1942. Not all original but I shoot it so it doesn't matter.

It's old and well worn but I think it gives it character. I believe it is birch.

My favorite is my hunting rifle. I spent some money on this one and had all the gunsmith work done at Bass Pro. It's a Remington 700 XCR 300 Ultra Mag with a Leupold VX III 4.5x14x50. It's a shooter for sure.

Here is my favorite, a Stevens 94C in .410
This was the first firearm I ever fired or hunted with. This is the greatest hunting implement ever devised for taking squirrel or rabbit.
Obviously this is my favorite because it has family history. It is older than I am and I have many fond memories of days spent dragging this thing around the thick woods of south east Texas with my dad and my grandfather.

While all my guns are special if it came down to one this would be it. It is the one I have shot the most. Built as a mutt it is a Metric Fal. G-1 lower, DSA upper and a South African Barrel. It is also the most accurate (along with my PSL) from 200-600 yards.

The handguard is awesome and is really lightweight.
That rifle turns me on towjam! I almost went with that rail but got a spikes bar instead for co-witness purposes.
RFizzle... who makes that dimpled barrel on there? I really like the look of that.

Knights did ad part of the special edition. There are a few other companies than can do it as well though.
Rgr, happen to know the names of the other companies?

Off the top of my head I know ADCO does:
http://www.adcofirearms.com/shopservices/shop_.cfm?code=21
I can't remember who the other shop was, you might try searching AR-15.com since I know it's been heavily discussed there.
Random fact about barrel dimpling: Knight's actually holds the patent (IIRC, atleast copy right) on it but hasn't gone after any other companies for doing it. One of the guys from Knight's was part of the above mentioned ar15 discussion and mentioned.

That looks great!
What length rail/barrel is that?
Is that the same one you had the Samson rail on?
Cameron
Yep, same gun.
Its a BCM 11.5" complete upper. That's the DD Lite 10 it's wearing right now.
ETA: How do you like your MK18 from your signature?
Some part of me wishes I had gotten a DD MK18 Mod 1 instead of the 11.5". I have no real reason for that though lol, the 11.5" has been boringly reliable and flawless in every aspect.

I'm actually thinking of getting the BCM 11.5" barrel for it as I want to mount a suppressor and I can't get on on with the 10.5" barrel/10" rail combo. I will shoot it the way it is for awhile and then get the 11.5" when I order the Surefire can. This LMT upper has been boringly reliable too.

wow, that's a good one there mate. I'm drooling.
As for my favorite out of my own collection.... i really can't make a decision. Truthfully. I've owned and currently own a lot of firearms, but as I learn and experience each one, if i don't "love" it, i sell it, trade it, upgrade it, etc.... so for this reason, pretty much everything that i currently have, I LOVE.
Ok, maybe i don't love my Rem870, but it's as trusty as they come and isn't worth much, so i just always keep it.
DANGERTASTIC!

This is my favorite firearm. Browning .270 short mag. Leupold Mark 7 3x9 40mm. Flat shooting and accurate at 400-500 yards. I have killed a deer at 200.
And YES, the bolt is on the correct side of the rifle.
