I was on ranch over buy Holly today. Rancher has around 5,000 acres. He said 2/3 of it has dogs. He charges 100.00 a day.
Is that a fair price?

$100/person?
I would have a hard time paying 200 for my son and I for a day. If per party then I would be game.
Details feel free to PM me.

100 per person
Not worth it. But that's me.
Yeah I would pass on that too. Especially because you are probably doing the rancher a favor by clearing some of them out.

Wha...? [Eek3]
You gotta' give up a Benjamin Per Head to Help Him Get Rid of His VERMIN?!?
When last I popped dogs, It was something like $10 per head... there were 8 of us... and the guys' wife whipped up a few pitchers of Iced Tea, a couple of platters with Chunks of Cold Watermelon and brought 'em out to us!! They wanted those suckers culled! Decimated was good... eradicated was better... and they wanted it done RFN! Heck... he even joined us! Now, there is a Housing Development on the property!
Yes... by all means chat with him to see if he is willing to be a bit more reasonable. If not, I say pass that one by and knock on his neighbors' door! Maybe the original guy might just get a bit more reasonable when 3/3 of his property is infested, they discover bubonic and/or pneumonic plague in the colony and his neighbors start filing legal papers to force him to "decontaminate" his property!!

Actually I think that is the going rate. I personally would never pay it though.

Convincing women that its worth paying me to do it...
Kinda like the guy charging $100 a person to kill his rats

WOW, thats outrageous. I was under the impression that YOU are doing HIM a service, likewise payment would be given not received. Ammo is no where near cheap and by the time your done you've spent a couple hundred bucks to kill rodents which you cannot eat or make any use of? I can see it being free or damn close even just for the sport factor, but at $100 a head I better leave there packing my freezer with delicious animal parts.

Over the years I have developed my little black book of places to shoot PD's and it includes names and phone numbers. That little book has cost me a lot of money and a lot of time. It always serves me fairly well year after year.
Somewhat like another male sport, if you don't have a little black book and are trying to find something from scratch, your pickings can be slim. So do you take an unknown date out for drinks, dinner, more drinks and roll the dice or do you call up a professional, pay your $250 and have a known ending?
Between work and other obligations, my spare time is limited and if somebody has some great shooting available, I'll gladly pay $100 / day.
Just my opinion. [UZI]
