At the Cabela's down here, I asked the guy across the counter if I could look at the AR behind him, he looked at me with a confusing look. Then I said "the AR15", in which he replied "what's that"? So I asked to look at the POF on the rack behind him which he had no clue about either. I had to hold my arm straight out and point like an idiot for this guy to figure out which one I wanted to look at. Very sad.

Says who?
*snip*
Based on the number of listed definitions mentioning the storage of "bullets", I propose:
* A clip holds bullets.
* A magazine holds bullets, casings, primers, and powder.
Sound good?
What is a POF?

I think it's forgivable since there is lots of obsolete nomencature in the gun world. Ball ammo is not round but who cares.
Steve
I'm not an accuser.
You are too serious sometimes stuving. You need a good POF and lots of range time with it.
I had a lady tell me that her 1999 Windstar needed towed because something was wrong with the carburetor yesterday.

I like the idiots that use the word "cap" such as "I'm gona bust a cap in your ass". Cap guns don't hurt anyone... [ROFL1] Unless they mean it literally, I think that could be uncomfortable... I guess that's not really nomenclature as much as a stupid saying.
Their store has really been driving me nuts. The thornton location now has not had any 7.62x39 "military surplus" for at least a month and a half now. They only have the remington SP ammo which is twenty bucks for twenty rounds.

Yeah, but I told her that it doesn't have carbs. I told her in a nice way.

Once again old nomenclature. There derivation could be from cap & ball revolvers which used percussion caps and lead balls. Real guns. I believe Wild Bill Hickok killed someone at 75 yards with an 1851 Navy. Of course it will be fun to watch one of these gangsta's try to deal with one of them. I doubt if any of them even know what a cap and ball gun is.
