A Guy wants to buy my shotgun. He is a minisota resident but is going to school out here and has a temporary residence in Colorado. Is this okay to sell to him?

I am 25 and not even a speeding ticket! All the Pawn shops I went to and Dick's Sporting Goods just needed proof of 3 months residency and proof of full-time college student. I assumed this would be the same for private sale.. but cool if it is not!

I love the phonetic spelling of Minnesota. "minisota" is exactly how they say it if you are from Minnesota. Actually it might be more like "minisoota".

To the original thread. I was under the impression that a Colorado DL was needed. If he is a buddy I wouldnt ask for anything but the cash.

all most. It's pronounced MINaaa-SOOOO ta (my mother and her family are from Ortonville, yah sure you betcha).

You're fine selling long guns within the state lines private sale. Just ask him if there is any legal reason preventing him from owning/buying. If he says 'no', you've fulfilled your responsibility.

Yes Gunner, as long as they can legally own one (felon crap) and what not, it is legal.
