I think I found a great deal on some ammo today. There’s a sporting goods store out near Limon. I called the guy and asked him about the 223 ammunition and he has a few cases in stock and about 50 more on order of brand new 223 American 55 GR FMJ 1,000 rounds for about $150.00. At 15 cents per round it sounded pretty good. He also has several different brands and Calibers. He doesn’t have a web site so I asked him to send me some info. I forgot to ask about shipping but maybe it will be in the rest of the info when it comes. I’ll post it when it gets here. Ole' Bob doesn’t believe in them dang puters so it might take awhile. If anyone is interested maybe we can put together a road trip and go see what else ole’ Bob has to offer. Larry :mrgreen:

If it's American Eagle from Federal, it's a very good deal.

If it's American Ammunition (A-Merc) from Florida, run away. A-Merc is the worst ammo I've ever had the misfortune of coming across and will never buy it again.

If it's american eagle I will take two cases that is one hell of a deal. Plus it's lake city brass the best you can get.

All I know is he said "American Ammunition" and for that price it's probably the (A-Merc). but I'm only guessing. So I will confirm the Ammo when he sends the information. I've never shot any A-Merc and have no idea how it shoots but, I've read some of the posts on S&W Forum and it doesn't seem to be worth a hill of beans. Give him a call if you want.
