I finally got organized and had all my tools and parts in the same place at the same time. My friend has a Bushnell boresight and we installed it in my Greywolf with a Simmons 44Mag 6.5x24(?) scope with mildot and target turrents that I purchased from Natchez Shooters Supply(It's in their flyer and SGN). I know its not a highend scope but the Leupold I want with a varmit reticle I want is priced in the $800 range(maybe later).

Anyway, after setting up targets, tarps, boxes, etc. We proceeded to set up the boresight and lined it up with the scope. The knobs on the scope were screwed all the way in so I turned them to line up and did some test shots and was happy to be only about 2clicks high and 2clicks right of the center dot of the target, this was at about 30 yards.

So after settling down and concentrating on the target I put four rounds in a fifty cent sized group.

I'm happy with the rifle as I had a minor problem with the bolt not closing with more that 2 rounds in any mag I had. I removed the bolt assembly and cleaned, inspected, and lubed everything and this cured the problem. I had noticed the charging handle was stiff so I think it may have been the problem. Always check the simple stuff 1st.

Now I need to mow a spot in the pasture canyon and set up a long range shooting area. I hope to get up to about 600 yds. Any suggestions on targets and range setup. I'd like to make it a permanent area, but will have to deal with strong winds and snow in the winter months.

Where did you purchase you rifle? I want to buy a DSA Predator, I tried Jensen but they said DSA is way bad on filling special orders, could be months.

I purchased the Greywolf at the Tanner Show about two years ago.

I just happened across it and had wanted one for a while. The person selling it said he was selling it for another project. I got it for $1675 and it was in like new condition. It was very clean and stiff so I don't think it had shot very many rounds. It had no brass dings or scuffs around the ejection port. After shooting it this week I think I have the bugs worked out. The rifle is pretty heavy so if you can get one with the fluted barrel it may help with the weight.

I haven't seen many nice FALs around. Green Mountain Guns has consignments and you might want to check with them.

Does Atlantic Firearms have any thing? They have had some in the past. Good luck!
