I bought a used Gen4 Glock 19. It is in great shape but not being real familiar with Glock's I failed to notice the trigger housing pin was missing from the gun.

Are these known to work free and fall out on their own?

Where can I buy Glock parts like this locally?

Had I not noticed this before firing it, what damage could have occurred?

Try calling around to the gun shops that have smiths. Check with bowers tactical below in the industry partners. If not, glockstore.com should have them and ship in a few days. Hope this helps

Thank you, all the other online stores only had one pin or the other and surcharges for small orders as well as spendy shipping.

Thanks they are ordered. I would check local but I am on the road all week for work in California

It is not common for them to walk out. It would be very obvious to the shooter as it would be right in the web of the hand or just above it. More than likely somebody was monkeying with it and forgot to put it back in.
The trigger housings are a pretty snug press fit in the frame plus they go in at a slight angle. As long as the slide is on the pistol it is not going anyplace. At worst it would result in an erratic trigger pull or fail to fire.

That being said I have a pin you can have. Drive down here and it is yours- 120th and I-25ish

Thank you for the information, I think the original owner was messing around as one of the backstraps is missing. Can't complain I got a great price and some ammo. I really appreciate the offer on the pin I ordered one already since I will be on a plane early Monday and not back until late Friday. I will be getting a few more Glock's and will look you up for work on them. I am just up the road in Longmont

OK so now I am more concerned, without this pin I wanted to see what happens in the gun. I field stripped it and the trigger housing rides up and out of the frame of the gun, so much so I have to push it down lightly to get the slide back on. In doing this I noticed on the very top of the trigger housing there is a little stainless steel piece (duh its the ejector...glock rookie here) that slides by the plastic plate at the rear of the slide and it is bent a little maybe 3-5 degrees or so. I took apart my G23 and that same piece is straight. it is this part (duh its the ejector...glock rookie here)

1) Should I even be worried? When the new pin comes in it will hold it in place and the slide functions and slides smoothly by hand.

2) Should I gently straighten it with some needle nose pliers ?

Kind of pissed since this is the first time I got a used gun that had potential issues but then again like I said it was a great price so even replacing the pins and parts I am back up to a regular price.

*** as a side note*** my recoil spring assembly is stamped 0 3 so it is the original release of Glocks Gen 4 parts, anyone having problems , I havent shot it yet but if I am going to have problems with UMC , PMC and WWB I would just as soon order a new spring assembly now.

regarding previous post, I think google saved the day. All Gen 3 photos I found it is straight but gen 4 photos show some bend just like this

That part is the ejector.

On 9mm glocks, it's bent, on 40 S&W it's straight.

Don't straighten it.

Perfect thanks, glad I asked first.

Can't wait for the pin to come in and me to get home so I can go shoot it and get my Viridian mounted and dialed in.

Got home last night, my pin had arrived so I put it in. It was quite a snug fit as you said it was. Took it to the range today. Ran 100 cheapies through it and it was perfect. I was worried because mine has the "troubled" recoil springs.

Now I guess I need a gen4 glock 26 too[Help]
