I once heard a story of a guy arc welding under a trailer of some sort, who due to crappy weather was laying in water, was probably raining who somehow got shocked incredibly bad by the welder and the jerking action of his arm caused the welding rod into his eye, thus losing the eye. Not sure how much of that is BS or not, but I won't weld under a trailer whilst laying in water. Not sure how much that has to do with snow either but... uh, yeah.... damn that snow.
It rained ALL night in the Denver metro area.

Done it in the past. Now we have a heatd floor shop and do almost everything in it.
But the damn snow messed with our annula pigroast/party. Still alot showed up the band was hot and the food great.
Try tig welding with alot of moisture in the air, it hurts like hell, I charge more for emergency tig in wet weather, so you can share the pain even if only monetary.

How do you get zapped? Any time that you have high humidity and or wet conditions you get a certain amount of current "leakage".
Josh you know you like it- now if you could figure out how to redirect it[Muaha].
I was Tig'n a stainless tank awhile back and had my elbow resting on it. Hit the pedal and got a pretty good zap right on my funnybone (aint nuthin funny about it!) My freakin arm hurt the rest of the day.
I feel for you Josh-I don't miss welding on plows and semi trailers in the crap.
just sprinkled up here in north metro.
Somebody needs to teach me how to weld!
