A little further south than the Garden of the Gods exit:

try Specialty Sports at 4285 E Fountain. Take the exit to the Colo. Springs airport from I25 and go east several miles. This is a BIG store with a lot of new gun inventory.

Paradise Sales at 605 W Colorado Avenue is a smaller shop. Sometimes they have some goodies.

Those are my two recommendations in Colo. Springs.

+1 on Specialty Sports and Paradise Firearms. Specialty for an amazing variety of guns and Paradise for that small shop feel and service.

Also in the Springs - Sportsman's Warehouse on Platte has a decent selection and prices. That's where I picked up my Rem 597 last year.

And Bass Pro/Sportsman's Warehouse at about I-70 and Quebec (Northfields shopping center). I haven't bought any guns there but they have a failry good selection to look at and their gunsmith has installed 1911 sights for me twice for no charge (and I didn't even buy the gun or the sights from them). They also have a collectors' guns room that I can't afford to even walk into (I do it anyway but I'm REAL careful. . .).

Good guys, great prices, and if they don't have, they can find/get it for you.

It's not in Aurora or the Springs (between the 2), but if your looking into building or purchasing an AR you can check out R.A.R. at Castle Rock. Anthony is a real good guy and will work with you with whatever desires [Coffee] you can think of for an AR...

I nearly died of dehydration the first time I went to Bass Pro.....so much drooling.
