Hello,
My family and I will be relocating to Longmont area within the next month. I have a new job in Longmont and we are in the process of purchasing a home in the area.
I have some questions regarding places to shoot rifles in the area that are family friendly. My wife shoots and hunts, and so does my older daughter (12). My younger daughter (10) also loves recreational shooting, but she has not gone hunting with us yet.
Also, I need to install central AC in my new home. Any recommendation on good, reputable, and reasonably priced HVAC company in the Longmont-Mead area?
Also need to install privacy fence in the backyard. So any recommendation on fence installer is appreciated too.
Thanks.

Welcome. I'm in CO part-time and on the other end of the state, so I can't be of any help, but at least I can say hi and bump the post up to the top of the pile. :)

Welcome to the site.
Sounds like you've got yourself a checklist of all of the essential items (I noticed that hunting and shooting are at the tope of the list.... good man!).
While it's a heck of a lot less humid here in CO than MO, don't let anyone tell you "You don't need A/C in Colorado" as they did with me when I moved here in '95. - LIARS!
What part of MO are you from?
I also sent you a PM to address a site requirement and give you an FYI on something. Please check it out as soon as you can.

Transplanted here from MO myself (KC 10 years ago). Welcome. Wish I could help with things up in Longmont, but I'm shamefully ignorant of the area.

I grew up in KC (yes, MO! - not the other one) until I was 13 when we moved to "the country"...about 30 miles East of KCMO South of Bates City. I went to Odessa HS.
Small world.

Bates city??? Hey, I used to shoot high-power and CMP competitions at Pioneer gun club south of Bates city. Usually stopped by the BBQ place at Bates city after the shoots.

Wimp. [Beer] I will say that are 2-5 days a year that I would like AC. The other 360 are just fine. I would like to rip the AC from my Neighbors house that way she could hear her yap dog barking at all hours.[Rant2]

The Pioneer McBride range is located approximately 30 miles east of downtown Kansas City. For those using I-70, take exit 31 which is the Bates City exit. Go south on Z highway about 8 miles to HH highway at Chapel Hill. Turn east on HH and go about one and one half miles. The blacktop road will turn sharply to the left; take the gravel road that will turn to the right. Turn south at the corner. Continue south on the county gravel road NW 1571 for three quarters of a mile to the entrance to Pioneer.
Pioneer Gun Club wasn't there when I lived out there. Following the directions I have in red you passed within 1/2 mile of my folks house. The road they live off of is off of HH Highway just 3/4 mile east of Z Hwy...their property is considered part of Chapel Hill. Just after getting onto HH there is a hill - just a little after the bottom of the hill is a road to the right (1651st Rd), that's the road my folks live off of.
Damned small world.
Oh, and while Bates City BBQ is pretty good, my favorite BBQ/smoked meats of all time is Biffels Smokehouse in Concordia, MO

Had we not moved to "the country", I would have attended/graduated from Hickman Mills HS. I drove through that part of town back in '02 and boy has that section of town gone downhill. We moved out of there in '79 - just before the now closed Bannister Mall opened.
Swamp cooling works real well here. Cheap to run, cheap to buy and maintain. FYI, the DOW has several public ranges around the state. There's always the Nat'l Forests. Colorado Rifle Club (amongst others) no too far away. Check out the CSSA site as well for a list of clubs. Enjoy!
