Does it affect anybody here.
The proposal for where it is going in El Paso County takes it east of Peyton Highway, wiping out the east half of Peyton and south using the existing area of Ellicott Highway virtually wiping out the town of Ellicott and Hanover on it's way to Pueblo.
My main gripe is not the toll way , but why they needed 12 miles of land for a total of 6 miles on either side? The new proposal asks for 6 miles, 3 miles on either side. Wouldn't just 1/2 mile either side or 1 mile wide work? I think this land grab has alterior motives.

They are rich pompus pricks who are trying to ruin the state I will fight this thing to the death. They want all the land so they can become richer with hotels, shops, stores ect.
They want to throw innocent people off their land so they can get richer I hope all involved in this whole thing rot in hell.

How in the hell can they get away with this? I thought for sure that the whole idea had already been shot down. So they're going to go through with it now?

It's been on again off again for the last 20 years and the proposal keeps getting moved further and further east.
Because each county sets land use rules and regulations as far as zoning...I think it would be funny if the companies bought the land they sought and the county denied them rights to build anything on the land except the toll road....they wouldn't go bankrupt unfortunately because the largetst finaancial backer is the country of Saudi Arabia....for a front range toll road....I believe there is an alterior motive there.
