I want to change it up and make it my own and not so cookie cutter. But I want to keep it on the cheaper side. Give me some ideas

Gold inlay your wife's name across the lower.
A standard non-adjustable buttstock and an A1 three sided forend with a picklefork flash suppressor.
All ARs, no matter what you do to them, are still going to be pretty "cookie cutter". Just do what you want to make it look or work like you want it to. If you want to change up the looks and you are on a tight budget then I would recommend maybe a Magpul stock and handguard. Changing out the factory flash hider can change the look a bit too and is relatively inexpensive and easy to do. Just take a look around places like Bower Tactical in Centennial, Machine Gun Tours in Lakewood, or Jensens Arms up in Loveland and find stuff you think you like. Those places usually have quite a bit of stuff in stock. Robb an Mike at Bowers would be more than happy to give you advice and help you install the parts if you need help.

Don't change anything - just return it to me as it is really mine. LOL
Krylon anyone?
Don't worry about it. TO make it yours, get profficient and shoot better than anyone else with one all tricked out. THat will really set you apart from them and yours will be better.

My $0.02: Go see Mike and Rob at Bowers Tac, they'll square you away. Especially with an AR, there are endless configurations, and it's all about what works for you. But IMHO, you can't go too wrong with liberal application of Magpul products...
Let's not forget the "Hello Kitty" option if you truly want to be different. I can just about guarantee you will be the only guy at the range shooting one.

I think if you want it non-cookie cutter, leave it old school. Every Magpul's the shit out of their stuff these days, so keeping it original is unique.

Been shooting the hell out of it. Just want to change it up. But thinking I will leave it The way it is for now.
Well What is better than One Rifle? Two!
Keep this one as your no nonsense, no frills weapon, and build another that is all tacti-cool. [Beer]
