I have been Emailing this guy about this sear since Thursday. He has not responded. I am guessing he already sold it and is too damn lazy to reply to my Emails or to go mark it as sold  .
First Fleming I have seen for sale without a gun in about a month and a half. Sorry for the rant guys.

Any of you guys seen an HK sear for sale in a while?

Will keep my eyes open. [wink] If your serious Alan can find you one and I will let you know in PM's if I run across anything.
That MP5 you have needs a trigger pack period!

Thanks Hunter, I am looking to buy one from out of state because, correct me if I am wrong but if I buy a sear from Allan I will have to pay sales tax on it which will be about $850 on 11K plus the $200 to the ATF. But if it is out of state and on a form 4 I only have to pay $400 or $200 if its on a form 3.
This seems like a decent deal since I want a HK33K anyway but I would rather just buy a sear.

your wrong about the sales tax there is none all Alan does is do the transfer and you have to pay him for his service not to much to ask. You will have to use a C3 dealer period anyway unless you find a sear in CO.
In short if you get a sear out of state the only way you can get it is to go through a C3 dealer like Alan. They will have to transfer the sear to Alan then he will do the transfer to you. The only way you can avoid going through a C3 dealer is if you buy one from somebody in CO.
Edit to add:
In most cases if the item is on a form 4 the person selling it will pay the $200 transfer to the C3 dealer. Then you only pay the $200 transfer to yourself. That is something you have to work out with the seller my sear was on a form 3 so I did not have that issue. Most sellers will stipulate what the conditions are for the sale.

I understand the dealer and ATF fees. However I thought there would be in-state sales tax ~8% if I bought a sear from an in-state dealer. Kind of like the sales tax I pay on my suppressors when I buy them from Jensen's. I understand the transfer has to go through an Colorado C3 dealer
HunterCO
07-02-2006, 22:46
The only time you would pay tax is if the dealer had it in stock. If they are only doing the transfer then there is no tax. Except of course the $200 dollar one LOL.

I think you're missing his point. If the dealer pays for the item and then re-sells it to someone in this state, he does have to charge sales tax. On the other hand, if you find the item, pay the owner, and just have the dealer do the transfer, then no sales tax is required because the dealer didn't sell it to him. Karl.

I think you all are missing my point I am not saying to have a C3 get the item I am simply saying let them know you want one. If they come across somebody who has one they can let you know and then you can buy it they can do the transfer and everybody is happy. It's just more eyes on the look out for what you want that’s all I meant. Not to mention sometimes a C3 can get a smoking deal and even if you pay sales tax it will still be less than what you would pay otherwise.
All I am saying is if your serious open the flood gates and see what comes your way you have nothing to loose. [wink]

Thanks HunterCO. I guess I would have to say I am serious. 922(o) is not going away and these things are not getting any cheaper. I saw one on Sturm today for $12.5K, the highest I have seen so far. I have watched them go from $8.5K to $12.5K in the four years I have wanted one so I think it's time to bite the bullet. I can have cash in hand in about a week. It would be great if a local C3 could get a "smoking deal”, but given the supply and demand for these things I don't see it happening.
I would like either a Fleming sear, LaFrance pack, or a Qualified sear (in that order). Unless the deal is absoulty AWSOME I want to stay away from a Ciener sear.

VOLLMER! Karl.
Vollmer's guns are pushpins. Therefore I would have to buy a new MP5 and would not have the option of swapping a sear between hosts.
I would like to get an HK33K (5.56mm) to be able to shoot that full-auto as well. I will probably just get a sear and have Vector make me a 33K. That way I will not be worried about shooting it a lot and they will put 1/2x28 AR threads on it so I can use my incoming AR suppressor on it. Besides, I thought an UZI guy would be happy about me getting a Vector. Victor. [pirate]

Oy! No wonder people are tempted to make their own. With even basic tools that could be whipped out in a few hours. Of course the risk to a whole host of rights has to be considered. Seems for most of us here that risk looks far too big to take.
One can only wish things were different, but that would sure hurt those who invested the big $ to do it legally.

Making one would be pretty easy, especially compared to the amount of work I will do to pay for a registered one. But the price of getting caught is very steep. My dad's friend's bother got caught with an unregistered AK back in the late eighties and got 18 months in Club Fed for having it. He ended up doing about 6 months but then had a felony conviction and could never own a gun again.
One can only wish things were different, but that would sure hurt those who invested the big $ to do it legally.
Most people I have spoken to with registered machine guns would be more than happy to see 922(o) go away, they would just enrich their collection.
I think our best chance of getting any new MG's on the market would be for the Attorney General to declare a 30-90 day amnesty. The law was set up so that he could easily do so on his own without congress's approval. The question is, how do we motivate him to do so? The last amnesty was a 30 day amnesty back in 1968. Please correct me if I am wrong but durring an amnesty I think we would be able to file From 1's and make our own MG's.
If I remember right, and, I'm sure Karl will be along shortlyand correct Me if I'm not. :P The '68 amnesty was more for Gramps that brought back a MP44 from WWII than anything else I'm sure Karl can Give You the complete rundown though. [poke]

How about this I kick my self in the balls everyday when I had the money and could have bought a lightening link for $1,100. I had the money and said to my self no way in hell I am going to pay that for two stupid pieces of metal. Now they are 7-8K. [balls]
Ten years from now people will be saying the same damn thing I could have bought an HK sear for 12.5 now they are 25K. In the world of NFA the longer you wait the more you kick yourself in the balls.
John Stemple who is the guy who made my sear I have talked to personally. He said back in the day he had over 40 sears in his shop and could not sell them for $40 now they are 13K+. He is a great guy said he could not give them away if he tried back then.
Bottom line buy as soon as you can the longer you wait the more you will hate yourself. They are never going to go down. There is a risk that one stroke of a pen could take them all away but it's like anything how bad do you want it.

I have been checking on Sturmgewehr and Subguns.com for a sear. Is there any place else I should be looking?
BTW Jensen's got my YHM .223 Suppressor in today. I went by and checked it out, looked good. However the supplied quick detach flash hider is awfully beefy. I would say the FH weighs about 3-4 ounces.

Those are the two best places I know of you can try gunsamerica and gunbroker but most of them ask way to much. If you find one for 12.5K that is the best I have seen.
That flash hider is hideous I thought about the gemtech QD but I don't mind screwing it on and off it is much neater. I may get one just for the sake of haveing one but it's like anything it's a trade off. My new moto is get one of each that way you have it all.

Then buy it I only seen one for 11.5K several months ago the rest I have seen are 1-3K higher. In the NFA world if you wait for the best deal you will get passed by there is none. If you find one for under market you best jump on it or lose out.
