My boss just sent this to me, and I think it's fitting right before the holiday weekend.
Some pictures set to music from a MC dinner

I also had to post this picture up again because of Memorial Day

So awesome there are such supportive people here! I just got invited to go to Tennessee Pass/Camp Hale with some of the WWII 10th Mountain veterans on Memorial Day.. should be cool, newly returned 10th Vet hanging with the OGs! Big salute to all my brothers and sisters still in the fight. [Beer]

What a waste of human life.
years back while working I found myself next to a field of stone.
took some time to take some photographs, and pray.

What a waste of human life.
an odd statement considering the "waste" you speak of purchased the freedom you have to make it.

I think he was trying to convey how it's a shame that such a precious and irreplaceable life was lost.
But like I always say, when you pay the ultimate cost in the name of freedom rest assured you will not have died in vain, for your death may have prevented that of hundreds of innocents'.

Maybe years ago, but these wars in the last 50 years have no real bearing on my"freedom" which has disappeared.
So bash me, but unlike most of you I did serve in Combat Operations for this Country, so I am entitled[AR15] to my opinion.

OK...thanks, guys. You had to post those videos so I could get all teary-eyed. I thank God every day that we have men and women willing to make the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of me and my family whom they don't even know.
This Memorial day weekend has some significance to me...my youngest is leaving Mon after next for his 6th tour over there.

Yeah...so did John Kerry. I got news for you. You're entitled to your opinion, that's a fact. But it's still just your opinion...no more valid because you happened to have served in combat than any other veteran who served honorably.
Everyone that has served made a commitment to do what needed to be done should their name be called.
And not only that...there are a lot of veterans on this site. I'd be careful about making generalizations regarding their past (or current, for that matter) combat status.

I was a Tunnel Rat in the 60's in The USMC, not a real glamorus MO but I couldn't be more proud today of what I feel I did for my country. I like you am entitled to my opinion and somehow you ended up with the freedom to post and say anything you want.

I think you may not realize how many of us DID, indeed, serve in combat. That being said, I fought for and some whom I knew well fell for the right for you to say whatever you damn well want to and while I may not appreciate the perceived tone of your voice I applaud the fact that you are exercising the right that YOU fought for as well as your service to the country.

Indeed you are.
Thank you for your service my friend.
Words cannot express my gratitude for the people that have given their life for my freedom.
