Well- today I stopped into Machine Gun Tours for the 1st time, then went to 5280 again. Somehow I spent no money(today)! I've got a painted Jolly Roger Spikes lower coming in to transfer at MGTours. I'll have them build it. Much smaller than 5280, about 1/2 the size, focus on black guns with no real sporting guns or stuff. Fine with me. Lots of tactical parts in stock on the wall for inspection, including all of the nicer muzzlebreaks/flashhiders. They have all of the really nice AR rec'rs and guns there on display to be handled. An M2 and Browning .30 on tripods on the floor. Nice dogs too. Everyone I talked to seem to know they're stuff. If there is any building to do, I'll have them do it, based also on other reviews. 5280 was as it always is and has been described, but not very crowded. I was impressed with MGTours.

One of their gunsmiths was here a couple months ago. He was a real nice guy and really seemed to know his stuff. I just went to the store yesterday and it was awesome. Everyone was super nice and helpful, and even though they didn't have what I wanted, I still walked out with some stuff for my rifle. Even though it's small, MGT has the most stuff I'm interested in, and since it's the closest to my house, I'll probably make them my go-to gun guys.

I ordered a rifle from Davidson's (a Davidson's exclusive model) and used MGT for the transfer. I tracked the shipement online and found it had been delivered that morning. I called and spoke to Mark who said that he had received a huge shipment that day and he could not get it all logged in until the next day. He called me back five minutes later and said that he had dug through the shipment, found my gun and would have it logged in by the time I got there.

Great, friendly service and I'll use them for all my future transfers.

Machine Gun Tours....

.. they are freaken awesome!

Alan and his crew are really cool... I dropped some hard cash their way.. and will be throwing more of my business next week at them as well. They've certainly earned my respect and business.

They've already got a chunk of my business as I grabbed a DD rifle from them earlier in they year. Great guys to do business with.
It doesn't help that they are close to my work, dang it!

I was just there myself, picked up a couple of PMAGs and browsed around. Too tempting that place. Have to figure out my next project soon...

Ya better get to it then as they weren't too busy and looks like they have some inventory again since I was in there a few weeks ago.

MGT dudes are very cool. Laid back, nice stock of all sorts, good prices. Every time i do a transfer, they can never get to it the same day. Sounds very cool they dug through the pile and found for package.

+ 1 for both places.
BUT...
I like MGT a bit better because of the staff and they seem to have better prices on stuff I need. I'm a Magpul lover and Alan stocks a lot of it. Plus, he always has some cool stuff to oggle. The last time I was in there he had brought in an original 1919 cloth belt loader for a customer to try out. How cool is that...

One of the most important things is I don't feel stupid asking a question about some new parts for black guns - OR about anything else. I'm not around a bunch of gun-heads with all the coolest new toys. So, it helps me when I know I can go to them for "updates".

I was on the hunt for some parts today after Tanner and decided to stop by Machine Gun Tours for the first time. The people working there are amazing. Great attitude, great service and stock was much more than I expected. I live on the east side of town but after my experience today I will be in there much more often. Hats off to these guys they are doing it right.

+1 more. I called them yesterday looking for the ever elusive 22LR, they had 7 boxes of mini mags, a little higher price than a few months ago but not really all that bad. walked in, drooled, bought the remaining stock and good to go! the only other 22LR I found on this side of town was OD Green (really DB Green) and had a Bucket-o-Remingtons crap for $170....BS!!! No wonder they had it in stock!
