I decided to go to the drive-in again in pueblo. It's a fun time if any of you ever get a chance to go you should. Works real well if you have small kids like my two year old.

Nice. I've never been to a drive-in. I've wanted to go for a long time.

We go all the time in FT. Collins. Grab a pizza and a 6 pack of dew and its a fun family time. Pretty cheap for 2 movies.
Wow, I didn't know any of those still existed! Has the sound systems improved any? I always got the spot with the crappy speaker.

They broadcast in FM now so you can pick it up on your stereo.
There is still a drive in by the flea market.

No kidding......I'm way behind the times I guess. Last time I went they still had the big aluminum box speaker that hung on the window. Probably late 70's.
Damn.....

used to go to them all time as kid, got to take the little ones a few times to the one over on santa fe and 285 before they shut it down.
wish they had one closer to bailey, i would go, 8 bucks for the show, great deal when there are 6 of us in the car, not as cheap as the DLP at home, but a good time for little money
saw my first rated R movie at the drive in when i was 5, my buddy JJ's dad took us to see midnight run, I don't think he really t knew how bad it was going to be. OH BILLY!!! my first titty shot at five.
I think it may have scarred me a little, or maybe it was the guy with the coat hook through the back of his skull... good times

From the title, I thought it was going to be a sequel to the movie " CarWash " [ROFL1]

The South drive-in That use to be at the N.E. corner of Windimere and Bellview,
A buddy and I, Shall we say "skirted" curfew a couple of times, and and saw a few sound-less movies over there.
Even went and saw a couple "legitimately" after we attained age.[ROFL1]

I did go to one in 1980 in Denver. Was there one close to Aurora at that time?
Our haunt in the 70's was the 104th st drive in in Portland. Used to go watch all the bad overdubbed kung-fu flicks.

I havent been to a drive in since I was a kid, in fact the last movie I saw at a drive in was the original Ghost Busters. Great movie and a great time. I miss the drive in movie. I am sure many of us arrived on this planet as a result of the drive in if you catch my drift.
I haven't been to the submarine races...I mean drive-in in years. We went all the time as kids.

When our oldest was small and we were on Long Island, we decided to hit the drive-in one night. We drove over an hour to get to it; double feature: "Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome" and "Big Trouble in Little China"). No necking, but we had a good time and the kiddo could thrash around without disturbing anyone.
Ah Pook, that was nothing short of amazing.

We go all the time. I have been to the one in Fort Collins and Thornton quite a bit. Always packed. Get there early.

Both worth the drive to have a quality family experience like we did when we were kids.

Marlin I swear we have parallel lives in some aspects.
The South, Centennial Drive in and the Evans Drive in all hold great memories!
We used to stuff like 12 people in a Chevelle on 5 dollar carload nights at the Evans.
When I met my wife we had a couple of dates at the Lakeshore Drive in@ Sheridan and 17th right across from Sloan Lake.
Now there were some "submarine races"[Tooth]
If you ever get down towards Monte Vista they had a hotel called the "Movie Manor" and last I heard it was still there. The hotel rooms had huge windows that face a drive in so you didn't have to be uncomfortable in a backseat.
Another American icon gone the way of the 5 and Dime store, full service gas stations and cruising 16th Street.

Driven by that a few times. Coolest small town idea ever.

And I just remembered that the drive in was right across from Fitz on Colfax. [Coffee]
Took me a while on the lead singer as well. He is a pickle.

Some of my fondest memories as a kid and young adult were at the drive in. That is where we went the first night I could drive by my self.[Beer]
I always go to the one in Carlsbad when I'm there, otherwise I don't go.
Pissed me off when they tore down the one on Santa Fe to build friggin' condos, though.

Sequel? Given Hollyweird's propensity for doing such things, isn't that movie about do for a re-make?

For those of you who have never been to a Drive In...You need to go and have a blast. I miss going and used to go a bunch in high school and a few times since I came home from the Navy. I think me and the wife will go this summer to either Pueblo or Ft Collins one. She enjoys them definatly as much as I do.

Didn't know it was Mastodon. A pickle singer, no less. [Eek3]
