South Site on fire today.

It was a small fire about 100' x 100'. I showed up about 430 today and they had it out already. Talked to the Ranger there, blamed it on people shooting.

I have never been there, but I might be moving closer to the south site soon. I hope this dosen't end with it being closed

Yeah, apparently everyone who goes shooting in the woods uses tracers. You'd think tracer rounds were the cheapest ammo sold at Walmart if you talk to these people.

It was about 300m up the road from the entrance, by the nice spot facing north, but it was real small area. My earlier estimate of 100x100 may have been generous, close enough.

I was there on Tuesday and it was open.. it was very dirty though :(.. we cleaned for about 1/2 hour..

Man folks need to get their acts together. Bad enough I have to drive an hour and a half to shoot these days I would really hate to see it shut down because some bozos don't clean up or start fires.
