Doubtful, next time the punk just bring a gun and shoot without warning to take something he doesn't deserve... Should've put him down for good.... No need to respond, I know the ramifications, etc, not trying to start a fight. I'm in a sour mood this morn....

I totally agree... Its too discouraging now-a-days for people to really rely on the court system to deliver justice to the miscreants that walk this nation. The really unfortunate part is that now it's "cool" to go to prison, as if thugs and hoodlums don't have any street credibility unless they've been locked up.
Anyone hear about the handgun owner in Los Angeles who was targeted by gang members being initiated- they were supposed to kill a random person to be let into the gang, so two guys armed with rudimentary shanks went after the wrong guy and one died on the street, the other of internal injuries at the hospital. It happened a few years ago not far from where a friend of mine lived.

Good one...I am happy that a criminal didn't get something he didn't deserve

Thank goodness the erstwhile victim defended himself with a gun he was carrying legally. No one would want to be caught defending themselves from a thief with an illegal carry gun. It would be much simpler for everyone to just hand over your money [ROFL1]

I like how they refer to the guy with the gun as the "victim." Like this situation is the exact definition of NOT being victimized.

Should've shot him 5 times in the back.

+1 for being aware and not having to use deadly force. Sucks the guy didn't get caught though.

I heard about this on the radio this morning and came on here to ask which one of you it was.

For legal purposes he is still a victim and the suspect can still be charge with an attempt at the very least

Maybe that's just where the hood goes to rob people.

Movie images flashed before me after reading this, like Dirty Harry "do you feel lucky, PUNK?" or Crocodile Dundee when the little idiot with a knife tries to rob him :).

Apparently they've had an upswing in armed robberies in the Springs over the last year or so. Seems that way reading the police blotter anyway.
