Heres my new toy
Nice. I really like the weird two-tone look the backstrap creates. Plus I think the M&P's are pretty good polymer guns. Enjoy!

In my opinion- the M&P series are the best of the breed. I've owned and/or shot most all of them, my M&P Pro Series is a winner!
It came with the black back straps and i swapped the mag release button with my friends black M&P. I wasnt sure about the color at first but it matches my AR pretty well... and thats important[Neene3]
So far I am impressed with this gun. Ive only put 250 rounds through it but no problems so far. My only complaint is that the trigger seems a little stiff. Hopefully in wears in some, if not, ill be throwing in the APEX kit

Give it some time. Your trigger will get better the more rounds you put thru it.
If you've got a few bucks to invest I highly recommend the Apex trigger kits. I have the competition one on my .45 but the duty/carry is a better fit for the 9 and .40 version since they have lighter triggers to begin with. I especially don't recommend the competition one if you don't have the manual safety. That thing is super light.
https://apextactical.com/store/product-list.php?pg1-cid13.html You can either take it to someone to have it installed or do it yourself with some video help. It's also a good time to remove the mag disconnect if you want.

I've heard that. I just worked a deal for a M&Pc. We'll see how the trigger is on that one.
Good to know fromk, Ill definitely stay away from the comp kit as I will be carrying this gun. I figure ill see what the trigger feels like after it eats 1000 rounds before i drop in an apex.
Congrats on the M&Pc Sneak, that very well may be my next pistol

I'll let you know. I've handled a pal's "standard" M&P- and others, the trigger pull was pretty nice with my Pro Series in the otherhand. I'm sure that these M&P internals smooth out over time- and can be better or worse, depending on the gun.

Looks good I really like FDE stuff.... I'm considering the VTAC M&P as my new range plinker....

FDE looks hot on that. Im thinkin about an M&P 9 as my next purchase. let me know what you think in once it's emptied a few boxes of ammo.

The trigger will never be good until you get an APEX. At least not as good as a Glock's...but that's not saying much.
I liked my M&P besides the trigger up until I tried to carry it. Glock 19 was/is just the right size and carries so much better.

That's a great looking M&P. I'm not usually a fan of FDE on handguns but that yours is definitely an exception.

Just tracked down a M&P Pro in 9mm. My old eyes are really liking the fiber optic front and the fit is very similar to my 1911.
This is my first stirker fired pistol and despite the 1911-like grip frame, the trigger will take some getting used to.
I'll run a few hundred rounds through it and see if an APEK kit is in its future or not.

I put 800 rounds through mine before I decided to get the apex kit. I bought the competition kit but I didnt swap out the striker spring because it is light enough already. Its an awesome kit and makes a huge difference. Ive only had 200 rounds on the new trigger but so far, no issues. Ive been very impressed with the gun and the apex parts.

Hmm. Makes me wonder whether going with the APEK kit is a good idea now. Based on what most folks have said, that is where they ended up anyway.

put some rounds downrange without the apex and then if you decide to go that route, you will appreciate the kit even more. BTW, installation is a breeze with Randy Lee's videos on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHr-IyejH7g

Makes sense. Took me long enough to track one of these down and no sense waiting before I start having some fun with it.
I was offered one for trade in the exact opposite two-tone fde/black (vtac) and am seriously considering trading my cz 550 varmint. Not sure it's worth it though, it does have an extra threaded barrel too... Someone talk me into or out of this please!
Nevermind... I went ahead and did it

Both of those M&Ps look awesome. Mine is just plain old black :( But I still like it. Might have to look into the APEX kit now that they have it for the fotay-fife.
Sweet. I didnt know they made black framed VTAC editions. Or is it just a standard with a refinished slide and VTAC sights? Anyhow, it looks nice. How do you like those sights.
I didn't know they did either and I can't find pictures of another one on google. The sku # on the case comes up as a vtac model and the serial number on the frame matches the box as well. I had to check and make sure I didn't get screwed.
The sights... I think they look good, but I haven't shot it so I'm not sure about 'em yet. The FO's are really bright in the day and the nights really glow in darkness but in twilight they appear to be the same brightness. The FO's are quite a bit larger so I don't think it'll be an issue.
Anyone know where I could pick up and fde mag release for it?
