Congratulations T-slice.

Glad to hear that youve made it throught the toughest weeks of hell you will ever look back on and remember fondly (some day).

We were a little worried about you when we heard you got sick (pheumonia wasnt it?), but it sounds like you have recovered and are doing great.

I have been keeping an eye out on your dad for you to ensure he is doing okay. Now, I can not say for sure whether or not he has sold or traded off all of your guns, but he is doing okay! In fact, I am quite sure he is the proudest dad on the site right now.

Now, when your fellow Devil Dogs go into tellign you how much better the Marines are than any of the other branches, just remember that it was the Air Force that kicked butt in the first Gulf war - we just left you all enough scraps to appease you a bit. [Coffee]

I know you will be busy for a while still, but I do hope to see you visit the site when you get a chance and let us know how you are doing.

The Ginsue is correct, I am the proudedst dad on the site! Seeing T-Slice at family day and again at graduation were two of the proudest moments of my life.

The Marines I met were a squared away bunch, we can all rest assured they are out there keeping a watchful eye on our country and the freedoms we have all come to enjoy.

Never take our freedom for granted, "Freedom Isn't Free" and many a brave man has paid the ultimate price for us.

uhruh devil!

Whats your MOS? im an 0311, always intresting to see what people do in the marines and how the POG side lives!

Note- i your going to MCT, be ready for a worse time than bootcamp. I know for a fact infantry school was a thousand times harder than bootcamp could have tried to be..

And, I just got this in email, which too good not to share...
-----
Conversation overheard on the VHF Guard (emergency) frequency 121.5 MHz while flying from Europe to Dubai . It’s too good not to pass along..

The conversation went like this...
Iranian Air Defense Radar: ‘Unknown aircraft you are in Iranian airspace. Identify yourself.’

Aircraft: ‘This is a United States aircraft. I am in Iraqi airspace.’

Air Defense Radar: ‘You are in Iranian airspace. If you do not depart our airspace we will launch interceptor aircraft!’

Aircraft: ‘This is a United States Marine Corps FA-18 fighter. Send ‘em up, I’ll wait!’

Air Defense Radar : (no response .... total silence)
