SKS mags

Recently got a Norinco Sporster SKS from my father. AK mags fit in it perfectly and function. Is this normal?

Yes it is a semi rare version of the sks. Chinese AK mags usually work better than normal ones with the ridge on the back side. Most sks take a duckbill mag just for the sks. I assume it has the thumhole stock? Sporter m models go for $400 to $500

No, will post a pic in a second. I also have another SKS that has the original internal magazine. Do stripper clips work and where can I get them if they do?
