View Full Version : Got a glock 19.
Got it brand new in box, bought it for 430$. :)
I also got the Lasermax internal laser sight for it.... I tryed it out after installing it inside the gun and it's really cool... i think that should help out with quick sighting really well. Also you might not even have to shoot cause if the bad guy sees it on him, he might not even continue towards ya. :p
Anyways I'm gonna shoot it allot at the range with and without laser on just so i'm good with it either way.
But i'm actually really impressed... took the thing apart and it seems that glock doesnt make junk.... Looks really good.... cant wait to test it out.
Lasers work both ways ya know.
Lasers work both ways ya know.
Not in bright sunlight. :P

oh, thats right, I forgot.. bad guys only attack and/or break into your house in bright sunlight and never in the middle of the night!
actually mine is pulsating.... i can barley see it even at night.
cant see it at all in day, at night if i try hard i can see it.... all honesty i doubt the bad guy would have enough time for that
congrats! where did you find it for that price?

Ummm Would you trust a polymer firearm?
I have a SA XD9 and trust it very much
I think he meant that as a joke directed towards me :P .... in the beggining i was curious as to why people trusted "plastic" guns. But since then i have learned much through you guys, and been amazed as to what that thing can take while going through torture testing. Heck if it can be put in a salt bath for 3 days, dropped out of an airplane and still work than it's good enough for me to trust :p
Also i got that price at glockworld, very trust worthy company got my firearm within one week!
http://www.glockworld.com/glock_compact.htm (i got this 42538 FIXED SIGHTS HI CAP 449.00 ) and i also added a lasermax internal laser to it... which is very very nice.
Good deal... hope you enjoy it.

who did you use for FFL?
I don't know who he uses but I give my transfer business to TJ's Gunsmithing. $25.00 and they are conveniently between my work and home.
I was on a buying spree recently and also carried out a swap through him.
Voelker Reasearch
20$ for one transfer
10$ for 2nd
10$ for 3rd
This is only if you are buying 3 guns from the same place, if you buy 3 guns from 3 dif places it would be 20$ 20$ 20$
or at least i think..... you can call em and ask...

I put over 500 rounds through my G19 in around four hours back in June. It was a PSD class and we drove our guns hard.
The only time my G19 had issues, was when I screwed up. Other then that it ate all the ammo I fed it, and worked flawlessly.
It does have one flaw though. It won't go boom with an empty chamber or if it has no magazine in place.....don't ask....
I reload mine with G17 magazines. They are plentiful and cheap. Stock up while you can!
.
Ya i cant wait to shoot it...
I got it with 2 15 rnd and 2 33 rnd mags
i put +2 extensions on the 15rndrs + they give you a better grip (my hands are big)
i might stock up on some g17 mags :)
And about it not shooting with nothing in the chamber and no mag... thats wierd... you should send it back to glock they might be able to fix it! :P
ok, now you are required to post pics or be banned!

Nahh, send it to HK, they specialize in that kind of thing.

[roll] Karl.
By the time you buy a 19 magazine and a +2 for it, you have spent enough to buy two 17 magazines.
The best +2's will come with a spring. If you didn't upgrade the spring you didn't do it right. Glockmeister has the right kit, but again, it runs about $12 a kit and for that you can get a new magazine.
Check out CDNN for good deals on new and used Glock magazines.
Don't forget WalMart. WWB FMJ 9mm for about $11 a box of 100.

My G20 will release the striker pin on an empty chamber with the magazine removed. Are you sure your's will not "dry fire".

[roll] [roll] [roll] It's just so much better when somebody doesn't get it. [roll] [roll] [roll] Karl.
Im gonna take a few pictures of it.... i'll be hard pressed to show you what the laser looks like (it's internal so it will look like a stock glock) maybee you'll see it at one of the shoots!!! Maybee even put a few rounds down range with it :)
Anyways ya i'm gonna have to check it out... see i already have 2 15 round mags for it, and i'm a big guy, the gun is a little, a tiny bit to small for my hands... the mag extension would make it just right.... if i bought 2 G17 mags... it wouldnt have the extra finger slot would it?
any problems with that lasermax system? some people on glocktalk have had problems with it... i'm thinking about getting one for my G23
no problems yet... what type of problems have they had???
I'll let you know how it performs at the range.... with this weather i havent been out to shoot it yet.
Anyways it comes with a guarenteed accuracy 2" at 20yds and a warrenty so they'll fix the problem if one happens.
