So I'm thinking about dropping by Car Toys this weekend and seeing what they can do... here's my issue. I drive a 2005 BMW 325, I have, for the last 5 years or so stopped using CDs for music. I use this kinda neat- but very susceptible to interference- radio transmitter that plugs in and charges my iPod while also putting my music through a radio frequency. I'm starting to get fed up with it as I keep getting other music and static more and more frequently. I need an alternative that doesn't involve going through radio waves so I can have music while I drive. My thought is to go to car toys and see if they can do something about it, but I want to keep the stock stereo (as it kinda ties into my climate control and I'd like to keep it looking nice inside). The car was made before BMW came out with the iPod integration kit as an option and I don't know for sure if my stereo has an Auxiliary output.
Any help here?

You have a few options. One is that the FM transmitter for your iPod might just be a low quality one. I have several Griffins that have worked great (and give me the choice of any FM channel I want to use). If I'm traveling and get interference I simply change the channel and it's clear as a bell. Your alternative is to get an aftermarket iPod integration kit which doesn't rely as much on what radio you have, it slips between the radio and the wiring harness for the car and work great (have also used several of these). I would google "ipod bmw 325" and you'll find several out there (like http://www.bavariansoundwerks.com/category/282/0/BMW-iPod-Integration/?cid=google&kw=325%20iPod&gclid=CNydpcbgpqkCFape7AodU0zCtg)

There isn't a headphone jack (aux input) in the center console?

I've checked Bavauto sound and some of their stuff is good, but I'd pay twice, once for the equipment and then again for someone to install- I would rather not do my own install because I'm not too clean about it (you should the light kid and CB I put in my old Durango- sure it worked great but wires and screw holes don't look good because I'm no pro at installing stuff).
And Graves no, it's the year before they had that stuff... I don't have an audio jack or anything, not sure I even have the AUX on the stereo as an option, but I'm taking it to car toys this weekend and they're going to look and see what my options are.

Call your nearest BMW dealer. I know I picked the cable up for an 06 for somewhere near $40; a snap to install.
