View Full Version : COAR at the Dragonman M.G. shoot

The Dragonman M.G. shoot will be Sept. 24th this year. I was wondering if anyone might like to man a COAR "booth" off the range to help promote the site. I can provide tables, chairs, and a pop-up shade. I think it would be cool to have an AR-15 display to get people's eye. It would be from 9a to 5p. This would be a great opportunity to get our name out there, and of course, we would need the flag to fly. Give me your .02. Thanks. Ryan, Dragon Arms Full Auto Shooting Team

I could do it I don't have any hunting that weekend so count me in. I could also bring some pop ups.

Let me know Ryan.

I will bring a birthday cake you bring the flag.

Fires that big usually bring out helicopters full of water and I don't need that at my shoot. Just FYI, those that man the booth will be able to shoot in the "Mad Minute" at the end of the day. Ryan

I'll donate drinks for you guys running the booth. It's too far away for me to make any plans to be there. Even if I was there I wouldn't feel comfy since I know next to nothing about rifles. I went to last years, and will go again this year, if I'm in town. Even if I'm not in town that weekend, I can get the drinks to someone ahead of time.

(i'm guessin it's 9mm...)

KarlPMann

9MM., 9x19, and 41AE. in full auto. 45ACP. in semi. But I only have a large supply of mags in 9MM. and 9x21 (same mag). 9MM. is the cheapest way I have to shoot it. Karl.

cool 9mm sounds like the type i'd bring for it :)

so what ammo does it like is WWB ok?

Sometime either at dragonmans or at a soutshoot i'll have to give her a try :)

I get 20oz bottles, so they would be out of date before sept. Is there a south shoot in sept. or is it not going to happen because of the dragonman shoot?

I can always run up to WP on a Sat. closer to sept. and drop them off to ya then. It gives me yet another reason to get some Donut Mill biscuits and gravy. Or an excuse to go up to Cripple Creek and get rid of my quarters. [roll]

I'm surprised no one asked about the Full Auto Saiga 12 we have now. Here is some video of it in action.

AR Will will be in charge of the "COAR booth" at the Dragon shoot. Once we hash out some details I will post more info. Thanks to all that have expressed an interest in supporting this. I think it would be a great boost to the site. Just FYI, we had almost 1000 paid admissions last year. Unfortunately there is no space on the line for the Humvee, but we could put it next to the "booth" with one of Mel's Dewat guns. That would be a great attention getter. Plus it would be a premium parking spot. The parking spot I had last year was in a differnt county.

I hope to see all COAR out this year. You will have fun I promise.

Last year, if I remember correctly, it was 7 bucks to get in, and 10 bucks per clip. I shot an M16, an Uzi and a FA 12 gauge that kicked my ass. It was actually painful to shoot. But a good kind of pain. I had a bruise for a week.

Delphi. It will be 8$ for admission to the range. Gun rentals run anywhere from 5$ per round for my Barrett .50 to 75$ for 100 rds thru the M-134 Mini-gun. A good average is about 15$ per mag for subguns and F/A rifles. Belt fed guns are a little higher depending on how much you want to shoot. Even if you don't rent anything, it is worth coming out for. There are many guns you will not see anywhere else, and I think I put on a pretty good show. I'm sure others that have been out will agree. Ryan

Here's how cool it is.....My woman is liberal, comes from a VERY liberal family. Her dad has a bumper sticker that reads "our enemies want a theocracy...THINK" And she thought it was very cool. Cool enough that after 6 years of asking, she's finally let me get a rifle. Not FA, but that's the cost factor, not that I can't buy one.

So if it's cool enough that a liberal gets swayed a little, it's cool for pro-gun folks. [postal]

I think you're going to luck out from me. I was gonna shoot 2 or 3 mags, went to the bank, took out some shootin' money, and have felt like hell since last night.

I don't think I'll be there unless there's a great amount of improvement, and it sucks! I've been looking forward to this all year.

Anyways go in the other thread http://coloradoshooting.org/ipw-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.php?t=4423 and I posted a video of some of the things I shot, including a nice 30 round magazine that HunterCO loaded just for me

For those of you that missed it, the shoot was awsome. First, I want to thank the shooters that make it such a safe and professional event. Karl, Rich Stone, Alan Samuel, and all the others, THANKS! Second, Thanks to AR Will and all of you that supported the COAR "booth". I hope we picked up some new shooters. Give me a month or so and we will be gearing up for the next one. Oh yeah, for all you Wolf ammo naysayers out there, my M-16 went thru 2000 rds at the shoot without any problems. Thanks again to all those that made this shoot a success.
