i am in the market for a silencer for a 22lr. i have been thinking about the gemtech. anyone have feed back on these?. i know all the steps i need with the form 4 and such. do they ship as a weapon so that i need to go thru a dealer? if so anyone know of any? i will not go thru dragonman as i don't care for his customer service skills. any other class three dealers around the springs? going to denver is not out of the question for me either.

The Outback II is one of the top three .22 suppressors on the market and an excellent choice. I tired one on my Ruger MKII and the dominant sound was the action noise. I know that Jensen Arms in Loveland has the Outback II in stock.
I personally would get an SWR Warlock because it is a little quieter (3.1dB) and SWR's excellent customer service. However the down side to the Warlock is that it is more expensive, about $50, and I can not think of a dealer in CO that stocks SWR so you would have to have them order it.

i got my gemtech outback2 on sunday. i went thru dragonman and was very supprised by the great service i got. it was a fairly quick transaction and my form4 was approved and returned in less than 30 days. i have been boycotting dragonman for over ten years, but i am glad to say i gave them a second chance and i will buy from them again. by the way i love the gemtech it has a nice sound and is really light. you can't even tell it is installed when shooting with it.
i have been boycotting dragonman for over ten years, ?
Mel and Terri are good people. No problems here.

in around 1994 a friend of mine purchased a 410 shotgun from them. it had a front pistol grip on it. a buddy and me drove to the range shot about 50 rds through it and the grip snapped off. we went straight back there to see what we could do. Mel look at us as if we did something to it on purpose. wouldn't even help with warranty info. i really think the situation could have been handled better. it just really turned me off to his shop.
