Hey guys. My name's Joshua and I'm 31 years old. Living in Louisiana now and I might be moving up to the Denver area next year. I won't be living in Denver county but it will be near there. I may get a job in Denver though.

I have been reading up on gun laws in Colorado and it seems like a pretty relaxed state. However what I've read of Denver scares me.

My collection consists of several ARs in different callibers with 30 round magazines. I have a couple of AKs again with 30 round magazines. Have a few shotguns, a Marlin Model 60 (17 round tube magazine), and a few glocks with the 33 round 9mm magazines. Do I have anything to worry about?

I would definitely transport all the weapons unloaded with magazines/ammo in a separate box. But after the fact is there anything special I would have to know about keeping them in my home or transporting them to and from the range?

Any info would be awesome :) Thanks!

Joshua

PS I have a Louisiana CCW and it has reciprocity with Colorado. Once settled in I'd take the course there and get an official Colorado one but from what I read the city of Denver doesn't allow CCW?

Denver DOES allow CCW, but only because they have no choice. If you don't live in Denver city limits, you shouldn't have to worry about it.

It becomes illegal once you insert the magazine into a firearm. As long as you don't roam the streets with a magazine loaded, you'll be fine. It is your home and most people don't drive to the range with a loaded rifle. If it bothers you, don't live in Denver or leave them unloaded until you get to the range.

Please post the law saying it is illegal to conceal carry with a loaded magazine. I think you are mistaking it with the open carry laws of California.

What?

I was addressing this...didn't say anything about CCW.

Oh sorry, I thought you were responding to him thinking that CCW was illegal in Denver.
