View Full Version : Replacing the gas tube?
Do I have to remove the barrel to change my gas tube out on my carbine?
I have a low profile gas block on it so can I just remove the GB and pull the tube out from the front?
Thanks

yes
No need to remove anything other than the roll pin that secures the gas tube and the gas tube itself.

^This-soak the gas block/tube junction with some bore cleaner or Kroil and let it set a while. When you get the pin out gently rotate/wiggle the tube out of the block. Push the tube into the upper a bit until it clears the block and retaining ring and remove.

it is important to note:
When you reinstall the gastube be sure to properly align the gastube inside of the receiver to the BCG Gas block BY HAND... and making sure that it is properly aligned.
:D
Great information, thanks gentlemen. I will give it a go and see how I make out.
Thanks
