Y'all probably don't care but I'm excited about this. Grandma asked me a few months ago to take her shooting, and in the conversation it came up that she and grandpa owned a couple guns like 20 years ago (made my jaw drop since grandpa is, or was, the businessman from California who's idea of extreme sports was playing all 18 holes that hired people whenever he needed anything, never turned a wrench or used a shovel or anything, and grandma never had a nice look on her face whenever she saw me carrying). Didn't even know what she had, said they bought "the kind of gun with the thing that turns when you shoot it and a little cute thing for me, kept em in the safe and never touched em." Said that one of the kids (my mom or her brothers) took em a long time ago and she didn't know where they were, but if I found em they were mine.
Finally tracked em down tonight. Went shooting with my mom and her boyfriend a few days ago and tonight she mentioned that the revolver belonged to grandpa. So I told her the situation and we went back to their house and I came home with two new guns.
The gun with the thing that turns is a Ruger Security Six, serial puts it between 1981-1982, and the cute little thing they got for her is a Beretta M950 in .25ACP, couldn't find anything on the serial but I assume its around the same date since they were purchased at the same time. They're both in like-new condition, the Ruger has 72 rounds down it and the Beretta has 38... judging by what's gone from the original boxes of ammo I got with them and the bit we shot out of the .357.
Crappy pics but...

Now if I can only figure out how to disassemble and clean that Beretta, it'd be a great pocket gun.
