I only have to put up with it for 4 more months... then the next place I'll actually own will be on some major acreage. Of course, that's only if the country doesn't implode while I'm serving.

I googled gun shop 80212 to try and find a place to give my business to and almost all of these places of some horrible reviews by people.

Why is it so hard to find a place with some relaxed intelligent owners?

The only one with excellent reviews is G&G Guns.

mcantar18c
08-04-2011, 00:40
Don't know of anything in your area off the top of my head, but 5280 in Denver is pretty good. Well, the girls there are pretty good... the guys can be douches.

I miss Bailey Guns/Crowhill Armory too.

Im reading the reviews for these places and they seem so drastically different. Half the people wanna be the owners lovers and the rest wanna burn their business down. 5280 is closest to me. Im nestled between 70 and 76 where they meet.

Saw a Coyote on the front lawn of ACC yesterday, in broad daylight (about 1pm) nothing unusual about seeing them in the city at night but don't see them in an area so close to downtown littleton in the day. As far as shooting em, ehhhh if thats your thing I guess. Far as I'm concerned they have every right to be here, I may feel different if I had a farm to protect. But I don't and neither does anyone else in an urban area.

I can see that... sure its busy toward Littleton Blvd but its a bit more quiet north of that along the tracks by the MVR. Quiet enough for a coyote that's desensitized to the city commotion anyway.

Not even a little bit. I refuse to give my money to those overpriced, smug, idiots and their crappy customer service, discount or not.
Every experience I've had there has been a bad one.
Actually, I had a buddy in high school that worked at one. He got me lots of stuff at wallyworld prices. But other than that....

A spider has every right to crawl around on my wall. Spiders were here before we developed the land and built houses ya know.

Why shoot them? They're varmints... pests... worthless animals. They have nice fur and I have bare walls, empty pockets, and wouldn't mind a new winter coat. They eat things we don't want them to, from chickens on my buddy's farm to the neighbor's house cat. They're moving targets and that's good practice. Hunting them is good sport, fun and relaxing.
Like prairie dogs but you get more out of the kill.

I was watching some youtube videos of their refinishing. They stripped them down. Then sprayed with the krud remover stuff, brushed with boiling water and a brush to get the gook off. Then I think they dude more krud remover and baking soda and then sanded it lightly. Then they did the staining and then sealing with like linseed oil.

I wish someone locally has done it atleast once successfully and would maybe let me use their garage to do mine.

Yeah with short shifts you start early enough to where you can't really sleep in for very long, and you get off too late to do anything fun but early enough that you get to sit home doing jack shit for hours, and you don't get nearly as much done at work. Its dumb.

Don't do ya much good with .45ACP... that can be stored in mags anyway. Where stripper clips are really great is storing rounds for a lever action or a SAA style revolver. Like an old school speed strip.

I'll hold my comments till you finish it... I must say though, I found it to be very emotionally draining from around that point on. Which is a lot coming from me, since I rarely have many emotions towards anything, especially books. The only other book that hit me like that was Lone Survivor, and I blame that on knowing one of the team members not the book itself.
