View Full Version : Shooting at Squaw next Sun...
Hey all, I'm setting up a Sunday Funday Shooting event next Sunday (June 19) if any of you want to go. I even set up the event on Facebook and invited some of my friends. It'll be held after lunch (around 1/1:30) at Squaw Pass' "The Playground." If anyone needs a ride up or directions I can assist. BYO Ammo, Gun, Targets, Food, Etc.
Here's the link to the FB event:

I may attend. Where are those baseball fields you mention in the post on FB?
Right there on the left (Squaw Pass Rd on left) at 103 and Evergreen Parkway. They have a little parking lot right off the road, but I actually think those who have cars (not off-road) will more easily park at one of the big pull offs right before the service road.

Well seeing as I've had business to tend to at Carson (which if you're not yet familiar, is the SOUTH end of CS) and it took a good 55 min (traffic a non-issue because it's usually late when I get out of there, and I have a bit of a lead foot) to reach the edge of town. I'd figure average about an hour or so to get to Evergreen and another 25-35 to get to the area at Squaw pass....
Directions or maybe a google maps link?
I might be able to make it -
Here is basically from I70 and Evergreen Parkway:

Don't follow that last bit about turn onto tower rd, that road doesn't exist- it's a turnoff on the left on 103 at around MM21, but if you get to Echo Mtn Ski area on the right you've missed the first turn, but no worries just turn on the next dirt road on the left and stay left until you get to the big clearing... you can't miss it.
For anyone that is going I'll be in a Gray 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab... I'm probably- depending on how crazy it gets on saturday night- going to be up there by about 1:30/2:00 PM (or 1330-1400 for you 24-hour time guys). Bringing my P415, AK-47, and my 1911.
Thanks- I will try to make it.

How's the cell phone (Verizon) service there? The only reason I ask is that I'm the emergency on-call service technician right now and if a call comes in (doubtful, Sunday = Double OT) I need to be able to respond.

Looks like I have something to do this afternoon then. I'll be driving a blue Dodge Durango with an Arizona veteran plate in the windshield.
