I have been trying to figure out a price for my Springfield TRP operator(full rail version). Its used, has about 3k rounds through it. In great shape.

I have looked on gunbroker and gunsamerica, there are some on there for 1500-1850 used. I know price's on those sites can be high sometimes so I am trying to find a good average used price, the problem is there are not that many out there to find an average.

any input would be helpful

Thanks

I've seen them on GT for around $1300-$1400.

I think the gun market is so soft, it doesn't matter what you think you can get for it. You have to offer it at the lowest price acceptable to you. Then drop the price if it doesn't sell. All depends on how much you want to sell it. I don't think you're gonna get more than a G for it- max. Slightly used standard TRPs can be had all day long on GB for a touch over 1100. Some a little less- right now. The rail makes it less marketable, not more. Just my opinion.

I picked up my near new Wilson CQB for $1550, if that is any indication as to the buyers market right now.

You came across a screamin' deal; that's all you did. You find more...let me know.

Another member on here just sold a Nighthawk Talon for 1500. So that's another recent example just like the Wilson.

He kept it...I know you did Jim!! [Rant1] [Coffee]

No- he sold it. I wasn't fast enough, or I would have more stuff listed for sale! The point is, when real premium guns are being sold rock-bottom, a common TRP is just that- common.

Ironically enough Graves and Sneakrd, you're both correct.

I did have it sold to a member on here who decided to show up without cash or ID. He took out a checkbook and asked me how to spell my last name. I said, " 'C' 'A' 'S' 'H' !" True story, he actually got to the 'S' before telling me to 'f*ck off' and told me he was going to burn me on the feedback forum!

[ROFL1]

People crack me up! I was actually a little relieved because I realized I had posted the gun a bit too cheap and regretted it but I was prepared to honor the deal.

What gets me is the member has over 2,000 posts! I've been looking for the negative feedback, but so far he hasn't shown his face.

In the meantime, the Nighthawk is still sitting pretty in my safe.

Back on topic:

I love TRPs. One of my favorite guns and I've been looking for another for a while now. I don't know, theres just something about them that gives me chub. Unfortunately, most of the used ones I see are way overpriced. Given a couple hundered dollars and I'd just assume buy a new one.

Back off topic:

Try this - I just did this for a my dad for Father's Day. Got him a nice 7mm with Leupold glass:

Go down to Bass Pro, opening up a credit card, buy a gun already on sale and they still take an additional 10% off for opening an account, then go to customer service and pay off and close the account. Heck, they even give points for cash for buying the dang thing and that was good for a box of ammo.

Saved so much money the gun ended up being almost the same price out the door than from Buds and I had a nice scope and a box of ammo and to boot.

Dad's gonna be happy too.

Do you ever sleep? Edited at 4:55 am!!?? Seriously man.

I have to agree with you on the price. I figured about $1000 to without the rail. The rails seem less desirable. Mine had a rail and I had it up on Colorado Gun Market for $1000 for almost 6 months before I finally took $900 for it and I had less than 200 round through mine.

You might just want to hold on to it until the market gets better. Either that or sell to me for $800 [Coffee]

Actually I'm in NC for a couple of weeks, so it was 7am here. I thought you knew that guy and he was good as his word? How anyone on here could come to someone with a pers check and think he can walk away with a gun on a private deal is beyond me.

He bought a Kimber Eclipse from a friend of mine and I met him then. Seemed like one of the good guys. Must've been one of those days. Don't care. Not my problem. He missed out on one helluva deal! Hope he's reading this and kicking himself in the butt.

No s---!!! That was a killer deal on a gun that retails around 3G. What an idiot. He obviously didn't actually have the money. Would have sucked trying to chase him when the check bounced.

1st thanks for the feed back guys. The full rail trp operator seem pretty desirable on most site's just not here i guess lol. I did some digging around on a few other gun boards and most have been sold for around 1300+/-. I have a bunch of accessories I was going to package with it, 7 chip mccormick 10rds, bladetech teklok holster, bladetech double mag pouches(2),uncle mikes mag pouches(2),bianchi black widow holster, bianchi mag pouch and 400ish rounds of ammo. I was thinking 1500. I just dont use it anymore and it looks sad when i open the safe.

2nd who shows up with a check!?!?!?!

Thanks again for the input guys.
