Got this in email, don't know if it is true or not, but the message is spot on and they look like they could have been the brave men who took him out.
Navy Seal Team 6
This is what the Navy Seal team looked like when they went in to get Bin Laden.
A couple of things to notice:
50 caliber sniper on the right.
Knee, knuckle and forearm protection.
Various plastic/wire ties.
Absolute identity denial to protect their families.
Free choice of footwear.
Fourth from the right has three artillery simulators and CS gas grenades on his belly. He’s the 'shock and awe' guy.
Group Photo of Seal Team Six, . . . . . . and you can imagine the look on Bin Laden's face when these guys came through the door?
http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i433/n8tive97/ATT00001.jpg
Let's be clear on this:
OBAMA did NOT kill Bin Laden. An American sailor, who Obama just a few weeks ago was debating on whether or not to PAY, did!
In fact, if you remember a little less than two years ago his administration actually charged and attempted to court-martial 3 Navy Seals from Seal Team Six, when a terrorist suspect they captured, complained they had punched him during the take down and bloodied his nose. His administration further commented how brutal they were. The left were calling them Nazi's and Baby Killers. Now all of a sudden the very brave men they vilified, are now heroes when they make his administration look good in the eyes of the public. Obama just happened to be the one in office when the CIA finally found the bastard and our sailors took him out. Essentially, Obama only gave an answer. Yes or No, to him being taken out.
This is NOT an Obama victory, but an AMERICAN victory!!!
God Bless Our Troops!!!
50 caliber sniper on the right.
That is a SR-25 with can attached.

Too bad those guys in the picture are just GI Joe dolls... take a closer look at their arms.

The arms on the far right guy look plastic, as do the ones on the right crouching guy.
That is NOT a .50BMG rifle on the far right. Neither of the two designated marksmen have .50BMGs for that matter.
Those look a lot like the McFarland Toys American Patriot collection... My buddy had one on his desk when I worked with him in the Army...
^ +1 SR-25, not .50- besides the SEALs, if using a .50, would either be using the M82A3 or the Intervention- or even the modified M110 with .50 Upper.

You got to say it is a great miniature diorama. Great attention to detail mostly. Shiny arms actually seems right. Most of the SEAL's I've met wax their whole body except their head. But the weapons are all fresh black; I don't even think thats possible in the land of sun and sand
They are pricey Amazon sells them for 34.00 each.
Yahoo shopping has the for 24. to 38.

"Hey Jim, can you help me peel this wax strip off my lower back? Then let's go to the kill house and practice some CQB tactics..."
"Sure thing, Chris. I need to get my MP-5 back from the unit armorer first."

If you think this is a joke then you haven't worked with NSWG. Flashbang, flashbang, spare mag, hair gel, Dummies guide to CQB, pistol mag....

Never had to opportunity to work with DEV/GRU but did work with a 10th SFG A-Team (yes jokes abound about which one was Murdock) and never heard anything about waxing, although hair gel wasn't a real concern in the dirty Afghan frontier, they did pass on which antiperspirant worked best, and how to make soap on a rope using just a pair of nail clippers, 550 chord and a bar of unscented soap (it's exactly how it sounds). But then again, these guys weren't the "Naval prima donnas" (not me calling SEALs that)- US Military Special Operations has A LOT of ribbing between branches of service and are always constantly in competition.
Actual quote from an SF Operator: "You think your regular army infantry cracks a lot of gay jokes? S***, SF INVENTED the Army gay joke. [Pointing to teammate] He'll give you a reason to have soap on a rope." [Thumbs up from teammate accompanied by a very suggestive wink]

And damn proud of it! Like I said "I don't know if this is real", the shiny arms is a dead give away but the message is spot on.
What the hell does that have to do with public education? I am a product of the American education where you had to go to the principle's office for spanking with a paddle when you got in trouble, there was winning and a losing team, and we kept score. Why you ask, because that’s real life, nobody gets the exact same promotions, raises, hours etc. you have to work hard for what you get. We didn't waste time debating on whether or not to legalize pot let alone all drugs. We didn't accept nailing the rich with higher taxes to pay for the people who didn’t want to work. We didn't accept those things. I went to the school of hard knocks!
How old am I you ask? 19!

Please be joking about your age... if you got spanked by your principal I'd hope that she was hot and wearing some sort of vinyl outfit and you had a safe word.

Interesting. I don't ever recall noticing if any of the SEALs I worked with waxed. I'm picking one up at DIA this evening. I'll have to ask him.
I know their weapons are dressed up to fit the application. I've got some pics around here of some of the guys I know out in the jungle and their weapons were black but their faces were green. [NoEvil]

Oh I know the feeling- I was hot for my Broadcasting teacher (who happens to be friends with one of my celeb crushes- Kathy Sabine) and then in College I had a hot Intro To Mass Media teacher... this is a recurring theme with mass media/communications. Shouldn't have ever changed my major to business... [Bang]

my first thought as well....don't see a single .50 in there. what would be the point, this is close combat, not a long range takeout.

Amen.
DJ (Danny Dietz) has one of my heroes since I was in grade school, I only hope I can be half the man he was. He's the one that pushed me to go for spec ops... without him I think my life would be on a very different course.
RIP Danny Dietz, Michael Murphey, and Matt Axleson.

Little bit of an update.
Left to right in the picture are:
PO2 Matthew Axelson, Sr. Chief Dan Healy, PO2 James Suh, PO1 Marcus Luttrell, PO2 Shane Patton, and Lt. Michael Murphy.
All except Luttrell were KIA on June 28, 2005 along with 14 others.
With 3 KIA on the side of the mountain, and another 16 KIA when their rescue helicopter (MH-47) was shot down by an RPG, it was the largest loss of life in united states SF history......

and Murphy received the the Medal of Honor. (I'm sure everyone knew that)
For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty as the leader of a special reconnaissance element with Naval Special Warfare Task Unit Afghanistan on 27 and 28 June 2005. While leading a mission to locate a high-level anti-coalition militia leader, Lieutenant Murphy demonstrated extraordinary heroism in the face of grave danger in the vicinity of Asadabad, Konar Province, Afghanistan. On 28 June 2005, operating in an extremely rugged enemy-controlled area, Lieutenant Murphy's team was discovered by anti-coalition militia sympathizers, who revealed their position to Taliban fighters. As a result, between 30 and 40 enemy fighters besieged his four-member team. Demonstrating exceptional resolve, Lieutenant Murphy valiantly led his men in engaging the large enemy force. The ensuing fierce firefight resulted in numerous enemy casualties, as well as the wounding of all four members of the team. Ignoring his own wounds and demonstrating exceptional composure, Lieutenant Murphy continued to lead and encourage his men. When the primary communicator fell mortally wounded, Lieutenant Murphy repeatedly attempted to call for assistance for his beleaguered teammates. Realizing the impossibility of communicating in the extreme terrain, and in the face of almost certain death, he fought his way into open terrain to gain a better position to transmit a call. This deliberate, heroic act deprived him of cover, exposing him to direct enemy fire. Finally achieving contact with his Headquarters, Lieutenant Murphy maintained his exposed position while he provided his location and requested immediate support for his team. In his final act of bravery, he continued to engage the enemy until he was mortally wounded, gallantly giving his life for his country and for the cause of freedom. By his selfless leadership, courageous actions, and extraordinary devotion to duty, Lieutenant Murphy reflected great credit upon himself and upheld the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
