This was posted earlier, but 1-3 shots? Was 1, 2, or 3 shots fired? That can be the difference between someone being wounded or killed.
What great publicity for American Militias everywhere- reminds me a little of Tim McVeigh.

"I'm not really too worried about it," Thomas Arnone said. "A. I have two really big dogs. B. I have a shotgun and so that always helps. And then with the amount of bears and wildlife that're up on that mountain, wolves, coyotes; he's not gonna be there too long."
Sounds like this guy they interviewed is a little clueless. If this militia guy did everything they're claiming... food and ammo caches and a spare vehicle out in the woods, knowing which weapons to take and which to leave behind, etc... I think he can handle some wildlife just fine. Coyotes and wolves are gonna avoid him unless they're extremely hungry, and I doubt he'd knowingly cross into bear territory without something to defend himself with.

Is this why that other guy started the thread about the militia? Sounds like they have an opening. :D

I recently read a DHS flyer about dangerous "survivalist/camping" types. I wonder why they waited until he started driving erratically at rest stops to try to bring him in?

But seriously, this guy sounds like he has some major issues. Trying to assassinate local officials, wage war against the national guard, and overthrow the federal government? Geez...

Mainstream media controlled by the Government will tell you anything! If you guys trust what this news outlet says you will believe anything. "Dougherty Gang"... they are not a gang, just stupid siblings. "Unabomber" was a insane person, Timothy McVeigh was a "militia" member...naww just another insane whack job. Media hype is disgusting, but extremely protected by the First Amendment. Our Second Amendment rights not so protected..."infringed" all the time.

Still I hope this guy is caught and nobody is harmed.

ยง 311. Militia: composition and classes

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.

(b) The classes of the militia are --

(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia;
and

(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

Don't even get me started on the National Guard! We the people are granted the right to form a militia to protect ourselves from a tyrannical government but the tyrannical government only sanctions and allows a militia made up of the National Guard who is trained and employed by the tyrannical government. Boy do I feel safe! Now, the wingnuts who are plotting against the government and wanting to play Army in the woods, that's not what I have in mind but I digress.

OK...so you are saying it like it's a bad thing. I'll keep that in mind. I like to know where people stand on certain things. Obviously we differ on this one.

I like how the writer mentioned ex-militia numerous times, but ex-Marine once. Wonder what group they are trying to use this guy to shed negative light on via the article....must be the Marines.
